0-100 Jeep Cherokee 4.0 

I had my stock 95 cherokee at 110 mph (downhill) it was fun to see the needle almost make it back to 5 mph since it stops at 85 mph

the 4.0s in the cherokees are awesome im running 35s on my 88 with stock gearing i happily say ive blown away almost every truck jeep and a few cars off the line

Ahh, my bad. I'm in the UK where all 4.0 XJs have the 242 transfer case... I always forgot that they're not so common in the States!

You are correct, because the transfer case in 2wd gives 100% power to the rear wheels, while in 4 wheel, it's a 70/30% split between front and back.

8.3 sec not bad at all! I'm considering to buy a blue 89 Wagoneer and it's just a special and iconic car with great interiors and classy look. The engine doesn't disappoint too in performance being also reliable and fixing is easy and relative cheap. Better to run before they go higher, I've seen a big demand lately with very few nice pieces.

@DJviper13 If you put it in 4 high part time you will shred your t-case. Why would you put it in 4 high any way. its not powerful enough to spin the wheels?

2WD, I guess that's the best way to perform an acceleration demo ;) In 4WD Fulltime/parttime it loses power in the transmission, at least that's what I read.

Actually, a lot of Cherokees come with full-time 4x4, in which the front and rear axles are still able to turn at different speeds, meaning that it's 100% fine to use on pavement.

im kind of leery of 0-100 videos because people can put different gears or smaller tires and make the speedo go faster
