Thing of beauty. My first big bike was the LAPD Model, the 950cc Carbed jobbie. I miss it so much.. So much in fact, that I have just bought another one and I am selling my Harley trike to pay for it. The one I bought is this very model but Black and Red.. The LAPD was extremely close to the colours of this one of yours. I also had to recover the seat... I got an upholsterer to do mine and they did NOT so the seat buttons, but I preferred that because the buittons held in water wwhile the seat that they repaired / covered for me, just let the water run off them.
Sorry when I have to correct your statement: I have got a California EV of 2001 since 2018 and there is no plastic at all. The opposite is true, all former plastic parts are full metal and shine in pure chrome. Anyway, enjoy your machine as I do mine. Biker greetings, Mathias from Switzerland.
Sorry for a late comment, I didn't see this video until now. I own one of each; a 96 1100 I and a 02 EV. The 1100 I has metal fenders, which is not the case with the EV. That's two pretty big parts, but otherwise you're right; the EV has more chrome details than the 1100 I. So I guess you're both right/wrong. Greetings from Norway :)
@@janarvenyaas85 Ohh, thanks for your reply! Meanwhile I have sold the EV and bought a Stelvio 1200 8V. But think often back on it. All the best to you and allways good luck for the new season. 👋
Barry Croft thanks Barry, thought she wouldn't have hung around for long. I am toying with the idea of a Cali of this era, as you've said, the metal work looks a proper job on this machine. Really nice.
