lil' tip: for the lights and shadows in general, you can have so to speak one base color for the skin and one for the shirt, and one shadow color for both of them if the lights match (like a really dark purple or blue or brown or whatever matches the light on the scene), and then you just draw on different layers with different opacity to make the shadows, same with the lights. This way you wont have to make like 300 materials but just 150:)

Daniel, what you are pressing to display this small color window in 1:03? Also, big thank you for all your work, great examples, and insightful explanations! This is awesome, I started learning GP after 15 years of exp in Blender and now I feel like I found a new America LOL. The only concern I have is that there is a really complicated/cumbersome part with creating all those materials - as you have shown - for bigger projects it seems to me being a bit tedious. Maybe there is some way to simplify this, like some keystroke with color selection which will instantly create a new material. But I'm still to newbie to think about it, just saying, because I trust your team has already think about this and more other things!

I'm having an issue where the colors I'm selecting are darker in the view screen than they are in the color picker. So much so that I will change a material to its own color with the color picker and it'll just get darker and darker, is this a vertex colors thing? Anyone know a fix?
