Is anybody else disappointed that Emerald and Weiss never fought? Even though it was depicted in two openings?

MAYBE RED'S LIKE ROSES? MAYBE ITS THE POOOOOOL OF BLOOOOOOOOOOOD

It's funny how the opening makes it seem like team JNPR is falling apart, when team RWBY is the one that got really *dismembered*.

"maybe RED's like roses, maybe it's the pool of blood" "their dying eyes are wide and WHITE like snow" "swallowed by the darkness, soon the moon is bathed in BLACK" "the blinding eyes that burn a YELLOW flame" Shit, that's not even apparent in the opening because it cuts out the second verse.

Jeff tried to warn us. We didn't listen.

Well we got the dark volume we asked for... "Careful what you wish for..."

That moment you realize that one of the reasons why there are so many named characters in the series is that at least half of them are probably gonna die at some point in the next volumes.

My first thoughts about this song: Meh, doesn't fit the series, i'd rather have the vol. 1 and 2 OPs thank you very much After listening to it 5 times: It's okay I guess, I really like the ending. After the ending of vol. 3: ...God... *tears*

I like this song especially because it literally tells all of volume 3 "There will be no rest" is how they fought endless hordes of Grimm "There will be no love" is the end of Arkos "There will be no hero in the end who will rise above" is Pyrrha's death "When it ends the good will crawl" is how virtually all of the heroes were unable to fight in the end "The shining light will sink in darkness" is the fall of beacon as it is also "the shining beacon" "Victory for hate incarnate" is obvious "Misery and pain for all" is the sad end of volume 3 "When it falls" is the title of the episode of when these actions begin "Fall"

Does anyone else listen to this at full volume when you're the one home?

That part from 2:42-2:50 I feel really shows off her singing and how strong it is

I love how cinder speech are lyrics in the song lol and it fit with Salam speech at the end of the volume . This and divide are the most darkest song in Rwby yet and they fit with the main villain plan so much She want to make the kingdom go to war and take them out while they are weak divide and conquer

so wait, I remember somewhere said that Monty Oum created the four members of RWBY with RPG classes involved. Ruby = Archer, Weiss = mage/spell-sword, Blake = thief/assassin, Yang = fighter/tank. and we see cinders team (and adam) fighting team RWBY who seem to be counters or something like that. yang(tank/fighter) vs. Mercury(fighter/DPS) weiss(mage/spell-sword) vs Emerald (thief/ spell-caster) Blake(thief/ Assassin) vs. adam(tank?/ DPS/ samurai) Ruby(Archer/ ranged attack) vs Cinder(Mage/assassin) I mean to me it seems like there is a counter to their fighting style. Yang has trouble with enemies specializing in kicking fight styles= Mercury, Weiss could be tricked by Emerald's illusions and fights more by tricks and hit and run, Since Adam adds the power of the attack done to his sword to his semblance and is a front line fighter while Blake is a hit and run fighter, and cinder can outmatch ruby at range now that she absorbed the full maiden's powers and could be hard to deal with at close range considering the length of Ruby's weapon and her seeming lack of hand-to-hand Close Quarters Combat. I know Cinder is missing and possibly dead via Ruby's power in the volume 3 finale, I'm saying it seemed RWBY seemed to have counters to their fighting style based on the opening animation.

I love the “there’ll be no rest, there’ll be no love-“ line, it really paints the picture of a wave after kind of wave battle that never ends. And also the “good will crawl” to really illustrate how complacent the good aligned characters are.

When we first heard this track before the series started... I wasn't so sure. It felt so different from the other 2 openings. Then, once the tonal shift kicked in post episode 6... it started to feel a lot more fitting. Also, a few verses started to work better too. Now I can listen to this and go, "we were warned. We didn't trust it, we thought it was just a red herring how the the previous 2 were just... there. Goddamn it..." But yeah, I can appreciate this song a lot more now.

Normally i ignore the opening after the first time i see it but listening to this i noticed something. In films there's an unwritten rule that the good guys move left to right while the bad guys from right to left. Now look at 1:35. This could be due to the students moving to defend their home but if we take into account "time to say goodbye" , "sacrifice", 'divide" and "die" it's highly likely that the students are used as instruments for the real villains.

I watched Rwby in like three weeks and Volume three is easily the best volume, it had me emotionally broken at the end and I couldn’t watch more for another 2 days.

I just realized something about this song. Prepare to have your mind blown "Maybe *red's* like roses..." "Their dying eyes/are wide and *white* like snow..." "Soon the moon is bathed in *black*" "...that burn a *yellow* flame..." All the colors of Team RWBY are listed in order. This can't be a coincidence.
