This video made it super doable for us now haha. Using google maps is a bit overwhelming as it has so many options. We're going on March and is very intimidated by Japan's transport system so I'm trying to see the easiest and fool proof tutorial we can find as my husband and I suck at directions 😅 I have a whole itinerary to plan but this is a great start. Thank you!
Your video is so very appreciated. I'll be in Japan on November and was getting quite anxious about transportation from Narita to Asakusa... and you totally nailed it with this video. Your narration is absolutely friendly and easy to follow. God bless you and your continued content creation 🙏.
Thank you! 😊 I actually had the same problem when I went to Tokyo last June, I had to look all over for a video on how to get to Asakusa from Narita especially since my flight arrived at 8pm. And since I had the chance, I made one myself 😆
It helps me a lot! I'm planning to go to Asakusa directly from Narita Airport Terminal 2. Your video is truly a blessing for me! Keep creating helpful videos! Cheers from Indonesia
man this video gave me ptsd of the first time i did this on my first trip to japan, so stressful that we almost missed the train because i thought it was the wrong color than the pictures i saw online (i know, very dumb of me) im so glad the conductor went up to us and looked at our tickets and told us to get on. I remember waiting like an hour for that train too.
This is a great video! I wish I could have known this last June. I didn't even know that you could use machines to buy tickets for the Sky Access. I just go into the ticket office. Also knowing the difference between the orange and blue platforms is helpful. The biggest problem I have is getting back from Nippori to Narita for the return flights. I pay for Sky Access, change at Takasago and end up taking a Rapid. Keisei staff are generally not very helpful, and always try to sell me tickets on the Skyliner service. I've only had 1 good experience with them, out of 5 attempts. Like I said, I wish I had seen this video last June. So now, I just take the bus to and from Tokyo Station. It's more straightforward.
I kinda get why they kept offering you the skyliner, it's a direct route to the airport from that area though a little more expensive. I hope this becomes helpful the next time you return to Japan. Oh and here is a tip, the sky access is basically a local train too, if you ever have a morning flight out from Haneda this line will be too much of a hassle. I experienced it first hand last May, I had a noon flight from Haneda to Osaka, I left very early and waited for the sky access from Asakusa Station and oh man, the train was JAM PACKED with commuters, I waited a little over 1hr and still I had to squezz and push myself in the train. My point is, sky Access in the morning going to Haneda is gonna be tough especially with big luggages. Just incase you have a morning flight out from Haneda 😆
@@EnjoyingLife.oh thanks for the information. I have a noon flight from narita to jakarta (around 11 AM). I stay in APA hotel asakusa. Do you have any recommendation?
@@ridhamuldina6938 If it's Narita then you're good, plus since you're in APA if i remember correctly exit A2B is just across from the hotel where the Elevator is located going down to the station hahaha
@@xxxvlogloversxxx Yes, because I wanted to show it on the video. But, if you already have an IC card, you can skip the ticket and just tap your card, as long as you have ample load 😆
Thank you so much for this video. We just booked our hotel for our first two nights in Japan just across from Asakusa Station. Now we know how to get there after our 12-hour flight. What a relief! Do you have a video about the IC card you mentioned, and how to get one? Thanks again 🙂
You're welcome! I don't have one but you can buy it from the machine, there should be an option there for an IC Card, if not you should be able to buy it from the train office once you land :)
video is of great help. just want to ask. at Aoto station, do you need to switch trains to Asakusa? i see from the train map, the orange line splits to nippori & another to asakusa direction. is this where the train splits?
Hello, are you talking about the Skyliner + Tokyo subway by klook? If so I am not sure. I just searched in klook but only the skyliner pops up, no sky access, the 2 trains are different. But if you already have a skyliner ticket, It could be a waste to get a sky access ticket because you'll have to choose between the 2 to get to your destination. Just for reference: Sky Access - Direct, no transfers to Asakusa Sta. Fron Narita No reserved seating, as seen in the video Skyliner - no direct route to Asakusa Sta. from Narita, Transfer needed. Skyliner has reserved seating
Hi thanks for the video. I have to go to Kuramae Station (A17) as it is the closest to my hotel. How do I use the skyacces in this case as I did not see A17 in the options to select the station?
Thank you for the video. I want to go to Narita Airport from Asakusa Station. does the train arrive directly at the airport without moving or getting off the train? Thank you
Thank you for the feedback! 😁 There is an option for a child ticket, I am just not sure about infant ticket. I think it would be best to inquire with a staff regarding the said ticket, it will also help you to know if you will need an infant ticket whenever you ride a train or if it's free 😃 Chances are it'll be free, but again please inquire with a staff to be more certain 😁
Thank you for this! So there are no transfers right? direct to Asakusa? I heard in the afternoon there might be a transfer? Also, where do we buy the IC card at Narita airport? and do you have a video showing how to get from Kyoto station to KIX? thanks!
1. Yes it's direct 😃 2. Check the train schedules but it's supposed to be direct, I mainly use google to check it. 3. Try the ticket office or a tourist information center, I'm not entirely sure if you could also get it from a Machine. 4. I do, it's set to be uploaded tomorrow so drop by again by then 😆
May I ask, if coming from Hotel Amanek Asakusa Ekimae back to Narita Terminal 3, can I use the Keisei Access Express line and buy the ticket from Asakusa Station? Thanks
Yes, but you'll need to check the schedule. Eitherway you can also ride the "Asakusa Line Airport - Rapid - Limited Express" towards Narita. They both take around 1hr to get to the airport. My advice is to search with google as it shows which trains can take you to the airport. Kesei and Asakusa Rapid both have direct routes :) Just type "Asakusa Station to Narita" on google and click the train to see the schedule :)
Hi! Thanks for the video! This one helps a lot! But, I have 2 small questions 😄 Can I follow the same steps to reach "A-09 Daimon St"? And is there any difference between the Skyaccess that goes to Nippori vs the one that goes on the Asakusa line? I see that both seem to be colored with orange at start of the line.
Hi! So I just checked google this morning, it say that sky access also stops at Daimon Station via direct route, so no changes. :) -note: you can always check with google regarding your destination, just type in (example) Narita Airport to Daimon Station, then click the train Icon, it'll show you all the trains you can take.- As for your 2nd inquiry, I believe (please don't quote me on this) that the Skyliner is the one that travels to Nippori-Ueno Station, if so that's different from the Sky Access. (Safer to ask an attendant when in doubt 😅😃)
thanks for the tip, if i already have Suica card APP in my phone with enough money loaded, I dont need to buy any extra ticket right? can i just go straigh in?
Wonderful!! Just a question, if i have suica card on apple wallet, should I buy still get ticket or just tap and proceed without any tickets? I saw couple of other videos where ppl still buy tickets even after holding suica card. Since you been recently i want to know from you.
I haven't tried a suica card on apple wallet yet, but yes, you can use your phone and just tap without getting a physical card. I've seen a lot of people Tap their phones on the sensor without useing a ticket/card. For reference you can check out this guys channel :) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WItgsorXiSA.html
@@nithinb790 I purchased the ticket with my IC Card, but you can also buy with Cash or Card (debit/credit). But if you already have an IC Card/apple wallet you don't have to buy a ticket, you can just tap it instead, just make sure it has enough balance 😃
Hey man thanks for sharing! I am planning to use this Sky Access from Narita to Haneda. So I should just stay on board all the way right? No transfers. Can I buy the ticket in advance online for Sky Access from Narita to Haneda? And if I buy at Narita, can I pay by credit card?
Hello! so I read ln the link below that Yes there are some trains that connect Narita to Haneda and that one of them is the "Sky Access" more specifically, the one that passess thru the Asakusa Line. From what I read it should be a direct route between airports, but it will be easier to ask a ground staff for a more accurate answer :) I don't think you can buy a ticket for the sky access in advance since it is not a reserved seating train, it's more like their commuter trains really. Source: www.japan-guide.com - And yes you can buy a ticket on the machine using a credit/debit card 🙂 Source: jrailpass.com
Hi! I'm a bit confused. I'm having the option of getting an IC Card instead of buying a ticket. Will I pass through the fare gate if I could just tap my purchased Pasmo Passport (with enough credits)?
Hi. Thank you for this detailed video. I have a question though. I have to stop at A12 (Takaracho Station) as per google maps however, I noticed in your video that there is no button for A12. Which button should I press to arrive on this stop?
at around 1:20 you can see an option to search by station name :) now if you have an IC Card you don't need to worry about a ticket, just tap your card at the gate and enter, make sure you're on the right train and just get off at A12 :)
hello , i m writing from italy , i will be in Tokyo in late November , i want to know if it is possibile to use a Pasmo Card ( and therefore avoid buying the ticket at the ATM like you did) given that now on iPhones you can "virtually" buy a Pasmo and insert a deposit of money inside it, thanks and congratulations for the video
Just saw your video and this is exactly what I looking for! I wanted to use this train to get to asakusa station. 1 question, when you board this train to asakusa station, do we have to transfer to other line in station between narita and asakusa or it is a direct, you hop in at narita and hop off in asakusa?
@@EnjoyingLife. not even change platform? wow, its a hidden tricks if you want to go from narita to tokyo aside from using skyliner or JR Nex. There are not many tourist knowing this stuff. Thank you for your reply!
@@arcticmooy for reference, you can always search on google once you arrive and gain access to a wifi. Just search "Narita Terminal 2 to Asakusa" then click the train option. You'll see all the schedules there within the hour or so with the number of stops, time of departure, platform number and if there will be transfers. It's good to check it, just so you don't get on the wrong train :) But yes, sky access is a direct route which is very convinient, just don't miss your stop since it is not the last station haha
@@EnjoyingLife. very nice of you giving me all the excellent details like that. Noted! I will try your suggestion next September when I get there haha. Thank you very much for your info, appreciate it. May you have a good life and travel ahead! :D
There are, but some exits don't have it, I exited via A4 and I can tell you I'm glad I only had a small carry-on luggage. If I remember correctly though, I think there was an Elevator by exit A2b.
No, the Sky Access is a direct route from Narita Terminal 1•2•3 to Asakusa, but do bare in mind that it is not the last stop, so listen carefully to the announcement 😃
You can ride the sky access until Aoto Station and then transfer there onto the blue Keisei line going to Ueno. You could also ride the Skyliner for a direct route to Nippori, though this one is a little more pricey.
If you're going to ride the Sky Access, Yes, they make announcements on what train is arriving on the platform so please listen carefully they also have those little signages that shows info by the platform.. If I'm right the skyliner also arrives at platform 1, so again please be aware of the train you will get on 🙂
Schedule? The train usually arrives every 30 to 40 minutes at narita airport. If it's how long the ride is, it'll take 1h to 1h30m give or take. *some changes may have happened since the creation of this video, so please try to ask the keisei staff at the airport to :)*
I searched, and yes, you can catch the Ginza line to Ueno Station from Asakusa. Though I think you could also ride the Keisei Skyliner which goes direct to Ueno Station, but it will cost more than the Sky Access. Plus it's a direct route :) You can search google for more answers :D
I haven't really gone to Chiba station before, but when I searched on Google, it seems to be a direct route via the JR Line. The Narita Line Rapid is the train shown on google. It's safer to ask the train personell once you arrive, they are normally located by the ticket booths to help passengers out :)
@@EnjoyingLife.sorry, another question. Are you an iphone user po? Did you still use an adapter (adaptor?) for charging? or did you just use your charger since it’s compatible for 100v to 240v?
Hi welcome back! 😆 Android user, but my sister is an iphone user, when we were there I think she just used her charger, but just to be safe maybe bring a universal adapter if you have one 😃
