I have to say I really enjoy the content on this channel and the discussion here was wonderful as it had great gear geek out but not too much of it. The main focus was process and developing as a photographer and what tools fit. I loved loved loved listening to the entire thing. The one thing that I have to comment on is the amount of talking over each other that is occurring. There were times where I wanted to shut off the video. Giving a guest space to talk is one of the most powerful things an interviewer/podcaster can do both for the person talking and for the people listening. I enjoyed everyone's contributions but found that element frustrating. I think this is a wonderful channel with amazing content that could be even better with a critical look at reducing talking over each other and giving each other space. Kind Regards.

Thanks for your generous and insightful comments. I have to agree with everything you’ve said. In fact, I felt the same way when I listened back and agree there is room for improvement. Being new to podcasting it’s easy to want to jump into the conversation but with guests, it’s better to steer the conversation only and just listen and I will definitely consider that going forward. Cheers

43:24, I agree with Joe, and think it's a "simple" psychological matter of negative reinforcement. You pay for your bad shots on film like you simply don't do--and can't do--with digital. The human brain processes the negative outcomes in a deep, deep way, and is smart enough not to fall for tricks like putting the memory card aside for a week. But it works even better if you develop and scan the film yourself, making the pain of bad shots even greater.

That's one of my favorite quotes from the episode. Thanks for watching!

What are your thoughts on the CCD sensors corroding on the M9? the reason im asking is I bought a mint silver M9M from my local shop and returned it after 24 hours because I found 3 specs of corrosion. Im on the fence about getting it back because the files are BEAUTIFUL. Do you think its still worth it knowing that I may have to send it for sensor replacement?

Once the corrosion begins it will only get worse. And all M9 and M9M's corrode. Yours may not corrode quickly but it's hard to say and like i said, it will get worse. That said, if you can get it really cheap, it may be worth it and if not maybe try to find one with a replaced sensor. I think the M9 and M9M files are some of the most beautiful and film-like you can achieve from digital full frame photography. the sensors were designed to emulate film and they look that way. Since Leica stopped the sensor replacement program, it's made things more challenging for buying M9 or M9M's with corroded sensors. Cheers

Adam Lerner appreciate your insight and yall's content! hardest camera decision was giving that one back. The asking price for it was $2700 😳💔

Before you give up check the service panel to see which sensor is in there. M9 Service Menu Power on Delete -> up (2x) -> down (4x) -> left (3x) -> right (3x) -> Info If the CCD ID is 53, then the sensor was replaced and you may only be seeing dust and may just need a cleaning. Worth a shot. 2700 would be okay for one with a replaced sensor

Adam Lerner its the original sensor. Thanks for the help. What do you think of the Leica M246 (M240 Monochrom)?

I love the M246. It’s amazing. And personally i feel the IQ rivals the M10M but a much lower price point. Different than the M9M but way more versatile.
