Great memories - I saw the movie when it came out when I was a teen ... I ended up getting the same Honda 305 Super Hawk bike ( in black ) .. I was in heaven ... I had my wheels .. and my freedom to travel wherever I felt like going ... same as Elvis. Great bike .. great days .. great movies and what a STAR he was. Thanks for posting this.
Man, you were so lucky to have been born in the same timeline as Elvis :,) I can’t even imagine what it would be like to just casually go watch the new Elvis movie.

Filmed in front of what is now Ventura Farms in Thousand Oaks, Cal. Owned by owner of Dole Foods. Ventura Farm is on left side of screen. All the barbed wire is gone and white fencing in it's place.

I love roustabout is a great movie--- with Elvis 1964, I love David Cassidy too! all my idles together, micheal landon, all my love to them all.. Elvis is a great man @ movie star.

Personally, I think those little Hondas were very cool. Sad, though, that with an ARSENAL of cool Harley's, Elvis couldn't ride one in this film. Movie and soundtrack is pretty good.
Does anyone remember the story of when this song was being recorded and Elvis had an argument with the director? Elvis wanted the background singers to sing with him. The director explained Elvis you're on a motorcycle alone where would the background singers be? Elvis replied the same place the damn band band is as I'm alone on the motorcycle

How Elvis evaded being called a Motorcycles Diaries propagandist with role is beyond amazement. It easily could've also been compared with Jack Keronauc's On The Road Again, which some believe Che Guevara knew about when Keronauc was writing the book due to the in plain sight similarities between Motorcycle Diaries and On The Road Again.
