just testing out how 0.023" diameter ER70S-6 solid wire would run in my 20 ft MIG gun that has an 0.045" carbon graphite liner. Yup, it worked. :) I didn't fine-tune it all that much. I added +1.0V since that is what other wire diameters need on this length of a MIG gun, but perhaps this wire doesn't need so much, because the spatter was a bit larger than usual. Oh well, this was regular short-circuit so a little spatter isn't a big deal. The weld bead still came out looking good.
