Sounds pretty mean. It does have a more "open" sound than the Borla 40085 you had on there, but from there it comes down to personal preference since they both sound pretty good on you truck.
hey man are you building any shifters anytime soon? i would really like one for a project 4x5 5 speed truck im picking uo this weekend! let me know please!!
Have you looked at the Borla ATAK cratemuffler? The Corsa sounds really good already might even be the perfect one, but it seems like you change it up once in awhile. 👍
Yeah it sucks I know. I used cheap base coat from a parts store then put really expensive clear over it, so I really didn't feel like doing it over. It looks better or worse depending on the lighting.
@@markguerrero5915Cirsa guarantees no drone on all their mufflers. But avoiding drone in most cases boils down to the tips getting out from underneath the truck.
@@TyBrink Awesome, thank you. I am rebuilding my RCSB and I found some awesome 18 inch wheels but I wasn't sure if they would fit. Sounds like I should be ok. Appreciate it and I Sub'd.
Would no cats make it sound bad? I have a similar corsa muffler ‘universal muffler’ on my 5.3 and been Thinking about doing it but idk if it’ll sound good or bad.
I personally think it would sound bad but that's just me. It depends what you like, but it would probably sound more like an old dump truck or something unless you have like an x-pipe or make the exhaust equal length
They are original take offs from a 2014 Silverado. Goodyear eagle 275/55/20. They're pretty big and heavy like 31.5 tall or something, I would like to put a slightly smaller tire on but would probably need to be lower to look good.
The shifter would probably bolt to the transmission but the lengths and angles and everything were designed to work with the 99-06 using the 03-06 console for where the shifter comes up through the cupholder
I don't. The link I had on the previous video doesn't come up anymore. It came with a cheap muffler that I didn't use so I never knew what it sounded like
I would never sell it, but if I had to it would probably be worth somewhere around 12k to 15k. It's got 180k miles and the paint and undercarriage are not perfect.
@@kevinobregon9287 ask 100 people you'll get 100 different answers anywhere from 5k to 15k, value is only what someone is willing to pay. Like I said I would never sell it because I'll never find another one like it, but I would dare to bet I could sell it for 12k pretty fast.
@@raptor700rbeast you got that all wrong I paid 3K just on bodywork custom, custom molded, wing with color match and ended it in a metallic grey it was a full Bolt on 5.3 4.56 gears and possi with stage 2 fully built tranny and that was my very first vehicle too🤣
In real life it definitely has a nice deep rumble more than you can tell on video, but since it's so close to being a straight piece of pipe it also has some rasp similar to having a muffler delete
I don't think you're going to feel any difference with any muffler, but especially with this one being as close as possible to being just a straight piece of pipe right through the muffler
Really up to you if you think it's worth that much, I'd say it should be worth maybe around 200. Like I said in the video it lowers the volume a little while keeping an aggressive raw tone, and also very little drone. It's 304 stainless but looks to be mig welded together if I'm not mistaken.
@@COLORADO__SUBURBAN the borla is quieter, smoother more muffled sound. Don't know enough about any carven ones and I was looking at black widow but decided they looked too cheap as far as quality. At the end of the day the corsa is the sound I wanted so I went with it
Hard to say but I would guess the drone would be a lot less than any other universal muffler. It's definitely noticeably quieter in cab compared to a no muffler
Yeah it is expensive, not for everyone, but it might be the only one like it on the market. Its 304 stainless so it should last a long time, but yeah I would say a little overpriced
You probably won't like anything from corsa if you don't like this. Their mufflers probably all sound similar, but this is the pro series, they have several options and part numbers but the pro series will all sound like this
@@TyBrink Being around legitimate, mid to high power cars, I can always tell when a vehicle has straight pipes or just a muffler. It's usually a terrible sound. It also is usually a good way to lose power under the useable curve, i.e. before 5000 rpm in most cases, but that is what this world has come to, fake cam tunes, stick on fender vents and the wrong mufflers/straight pipes. None of that matters if you like it! Ignorance is indeed bliss.
This truck has the nv3500 5 speed from the factory. You could use that or the nv4500 that came in the 2500 trucks which is just a heavier duty 5 speed. Not sure if you would need to swap transfer case or driveshaft.
