McClung became my favorite player very quickly. He gets way too much flack because he’s 6’2” even though every nba team has a couple of guys that are 6’2” and don’t have the hops and skill Mac has SMH.

It’s easy to hate him because his name was always floating around Ballislife. Once I actually had the chance to sit down and watch him play at Tech, one game in, and I knew he was the real deal. He can be a problem in the league off the bench if he continues his growth as a playmaker, and improves his defensive IQ.

One thing that I always knew about Mac is that he will always be the hardest worker. I have no doubt he's constantly working out and on the court working on his game. Mac will make it to the league based on sheer work ethic. Also, the fact that no team thinks Mac couldn't help them during an 82 game season is crazy to me. Mac might be undersized but so was Steve Nash and John Stockton.

I never could dunk a ball until my junior year of high school. We would do heavy legs, hit the track and then coach would make us do plyometrics. Plyometrics helped so much with my second jump off the floor and just being explosive with every move. Highly recommend them.

Bro, great to hear you talking about the different aspects of athleticism. In the NBA people equate bounce to athleticism and miss out on so many important other aspects of athleticism, like with J Lin. Edit: then later you're talking about guys who develop strength, but contrast with athleticism. Damn, even you are caught up in the idea of athleticism being bounce. Fortunately, Mac saved you when talking about Steph and different types of athleticism.
@MuswellMunky
@MuswellMunky Год назад
Important comment right here. A lot of folks mean just ‘run and jump’ athleticism when they say ‘athleticism’, ie a narrowly focused definition. Rather than all the other elements around quickness vs speed, being able to de-accelerate, shift gears, stop on a dime et al.

“He was despised and rejected- a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief. We turned our backs on him and looked the other way. He was despised, and we did not care. Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins! But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the Lord laid on him the sins of us all. He was oppressed and treated harshly, yet he never said a word. He was led like a lamb to the slaughter. And as a sheep is silent before the shearers, he did not open his mouth. Unjustly condemned, he was led away. No one cared that he died without descendants, that his life was cut short in midstream. But he was struck down for the rebellion of my people. He had done no wrong and had never deceived anyone. But he was buried like a criminal; he was put in a rich man’s grave. But it was the Lord’s good plan to crush him and cause him grief. Yet when his life is made an offering for sin, he will have many descendants. He will enjoy a long life, and the Lord’s good plan will prosper in his hands. When he sees all that is accomplished by his anguish, he will be satisfied. And because of his experience, my righteous servant will make it possible for many to be counted righteous, for he will bear all their sins. I will give him the honors of a victorious soldier, because he exposed himself to death. He was counted among the rebels. He bore the sins of many and interceded for rebels.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭53:3-12‬ ‭NLT‬‬ "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16 God loves you so much and showed that by sending His Son to die for us so that we may inherit eternal life. We deserve hell but He gave us heaven through faith in Jesus. He took the punishment we deserved and by putting our faith in Him we can be saved. @watcher3481
@watcher3481 Год назад
I quit playing bball 12 years ago at age 26 because it would take my knees two days to recover. I started KOT Ability Zero 14 weeks ago and I'm down 16 lbs and my joints are stronger than ever. I play at least twice a week now and do 1 on 0 sessions three times a week, using PJF training. I have Vert Code and will start the plyos portion after my men's league ends in August. I used to do 5x5 workouts - squats, deadlifts, etc and Bas Rutten boxing training, so it wasn't that I was in bad shape. My knees were just bad and now they're not so bad. I did plyos in high school, tore my ACL in college and finally back to playing years after I gave up on basketball. Many blessings to KOTguy and PJF for adding so much joy back to my life.
