'05 Chevy TB/EXT Center Console G201 Ground 

Here's the TYPICAL G201 ground under the right side of the center console that loses ground quality that causes many oddball electrical problems.
The bolt goes through the floorboard and is exposed to road salt that creates corrosion - then since the ground quality is critical, things go nutso on the dash and you can get some crazy wrong turns trying to diagnose what the scanner says you should follow.
YOUR ground might be different - I dunnow since I've not seen them all --- but this is what I found on my vehicle.
