Info about this channel: Q: Who is this? A: This channel belongs to eo58, korean artist who streams on twitch and has to move because twitch kr is shutting down. Q: What tools do you use? A: Photoshop, Cintiq Pro 24 with touchscreen (but he says he prefers one with no touchscreen) Q: What language do you speak? A: He speaks mainly korean, but also some english. Please be kind and try to use those two languages so that he can understand, thank you. Q: Does he have socials? A: He has his twitch channel, youtube channel, and chzzk channel. The last has not been fully set up yet though. He does not have other socials that he posts on. Q: If there are no socials, where can I see your art? A: Only on VODS. It is possible to go to his twitch channel and search for clips of older works. Not all are there, but it is better than none. Q: How long has he been drawing? A: Oldest records on the internet since 2004, traditional pencil and ink, self-taught digital art for the past 6-7 years. Learnt animation formally, also does 3D modelling, but rarely. He himself says he does not remember when exactly he started drawing. Q: What music is that in the background? A: He found a youtube dmca-free playlist and is using that currently. Q: What is your age? A: Age is private information, not known. Q: What is your job? A: Job is also private information, answer given is 'office worker', in the vaguest and broadest category. Q: Do you use references? A: No, he usually does not, he will show on screen if there are any references used. Q: All the drawings on stream, are they for work? A: No, all drawings on stream are his own and for fun, corporate works are separate and private. Q: What brushes do you use and can you share them? A: Usually uses default photoshop brushes, but others he is unable to share. It is a mix of brushes downloaded from online, given from others, and made on his own, so it is a bit difficult to share them. Q: Why do you work on so many pieces at once? A: He likens it to CSAT questions, if you are stuck on a painting, move to the next one and come back later. Q: Do you take commissions? A: No he does not. Q: When does he stream? A: Usually streams on weekends and kr holidays. Weekday streams are possible but rare, while weekend streams are highly likely but not guaranteed. Q: Can you do feedback for my art? A: He sometimes does so, but only if he feels like it. Q: Do you give lectures/do you teach art? A: He is not an art teacher, does not give lectures, and does not have coloso, but he will answer questions about art if there are any. Q: How do you come up with so many designs? A: He says that having a large visual library is very important, looking at a lot of other pictures and art, as well as being observant. Q: Where are your layers? A: Layers are at the side, offscreen. Q: What is the canvas size? A: Minimum canvas size is 3600px width or so, and height is expanded when needed, up to a maximum of 16000px. Most of the pictures are larger than that though. Q: Some of the vods on youtube aren't showing up, is that normal? A: Yes it happens, sometimes he forgets or doesn't want them up. They could appear later if it's just forgotten. Q: Can you make other social media/portfolio? What about an artbook? A: "I don't like it", "Soon (TM)" -eo58 (p.s it's been 'soon' for years)
@@necro-claud6370 not really, I think it's more so that people have a difficult time having boundaries and understanding privacy, so he rather do away with it altogether for now
This guy is so fucking unkown, its kinda cool and frustrating at the same time, especially if you wanna support them or see more of their works. I guess theyre not into fame
none, IF he is using a reference which is really rare he will have it on screen on the canvas, 99.9% he does not use a reference. he has well over 20 plus years of experience
@@Bainna fair enough, although years of experience doesn’t indicate they are too good for reference, plenty of senior artists with same amount of experience or more that use plenty. Heck even Ruan Jia and Craig Mullins
@@julio1148It’s more so dependent on the artist memory. Every artist technically uses a reference although some artists has a bigger visual library than others. So you’re right, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with using references because literally everyone uses them, whenever they’re conscious of it or not.
@@julio1148 he said him self he has a visual library from years of experience stored in his head studying from references and he selects them as you would select files in your pc he said in a stream for good character design you need a vast visual library
