Difference between round window n round window niche..... What is exactly round window niche??

niche word meaning is 'a comfortable position'. The round window membrane is located at the end of scala tympani,and is barely visible on the promontary. RWM is hidden under a bony overhang of the round window niche. In other words we can tell that RWM is situated deep in round window niche. Hope you got it.

Hi! Nice video Is it normal that a week after the surgery when I start ear drops I feel a slight taste of ear drops in my throat/mouth or does it mean the graft has failed?

After one week, it cannot be taken as failure as closure of a medium sized perforation may take 3-4 weeks post op. Better not to put ear drops.👍

Modified Wullstein classification includes Type 6 as Sono-inversion. ;TM reconstructed over oval window with round window uncovered
