If we sought all things to be the cause of every phenomenon, it would be rather difficult to assign causes to a significantly localized agent such as the subject “I”. Then when we took the matter this far, “It” as a causal agent might become more sensible. In addition, if the subject “I” is not responsible for what I did, there would no longer be the subject “I”, and accordingly its free will would disappear. Many of us who are living with “Who am I?” or “What do I want to do?” as their more important questions in life may wonder perhaps they are significantly misguided in comprehending reality, and I think it is sensible to wonder about that. However, this misguide has its roots in the structure of English language or the way of thinking that attempts to capture everything with localized causes and effects. By the way, this way of thinking is also Scientific thinking process. It has been awhile since English became a universal language, and everyone is now writing papers in English at universities across the world. But perhaps you may wonder if Science and all universities in the world might be significantly misguided. Needless to say, I think so.
