As a truck driver I used to listen to this song and think of my wife when I was on the road. I lost my wife in July 2018. My greatest fear came true, and I miss her every day, even now, two and a half years later.
"Black Dog" is one of my favorite Movies, and this one is my favorite Soundtrack of this Movie!! Wonderful Song, I was moved to Tears when I heard it the first time!! Country Music is one of my favorite music styles and Randy Travis is just a fantastic County Singer, go on like that, this song is absolutly beautiful!!!! Thumbs up for Randy Travis, his voice is just beautiful to hear!!!! Fantastic!!!!
This is the best movie ever. And a good job Randy Travis for making a wonderful song. This is one of my favorite country songs. If it wasn't for this movie, I probably wouldn't know who Randy Travis is.

I normally don't listen to much country music. But Black Dog (one of my favourite movies) introduced me to Randy Travis and this beautiful song. I then searched for some of his other songs and also loved a lot of his other songs like 'Forever & Ever Amen'
Sometimes many miles may lay between us But only for the job I choose to do And what part helps me through my darkest hours, Each mile brings me closer to you Please believe you're all I ever wanted If you should leave I don't know what I'd do I'd be like a child afraid of darkness The greatest fear I have is losing you Heaven knows I've always had these demons watchin for a place to take control Whispering you'll never be there for me Waiting at the end of my road Please believe you're all I ever wanted If you should leave I don't know what I'd do I'd be like a child afraid of darkness The greatest fear I have is losing you Alone I wander through this world, no meaning in my life Then I found you and finally saw the light Please believe you're all I ever wanted If you should leave I don't know what I'd do I'd be like a child afraid of darkness The greatest fear I have is losing you
@@dannybone3774 no doubt it's a grind truckers in my opinion work harder than anybody I can think of, wanted 2 be one myself as a child till I realized how being a pro baseball player and fitness coach were where god has his plans for me. Still I always have great respect for these men and women always out their doing their job and putting in long hours 2 satisfy their customers.
This song reminds me of my uncle. When I was 10 (25 years ago) he would always take me on the road and I would watch this movie in this truck. Didn’t realize how much I miss him to I heard the first couple seconds of this song
This song is special to me. Lost my husband to cancer. He was a truck driver. Miss his him . Thank you Randy. Losing him is was my greatest fear come true.

I was 7 when black dog came out. Now I'm out on the road driving a peterbilt myself. Watched black dog the other day and became sad after realizing how long it's been since Patrick left us....nothing beats a caterpillar. Roll on.
As a CDL driver, this is one of the official trucker songs on my list, when you're out away from friends and family for days, providing the county with needed supplies
i have loved this song ever since i first seen the movie black dog it give me chills when i first heard it in the movie this is what true country music is all about
James Crawley it's because the song was specifically made for the soundtrack of the movie, so it would only be on the soundtrack, but I admit, I really wish I could get this song.
One my favorite song and greatest hit album. Enjoy watch this film movie. Thank You 🙏 Randy Travis and Patrick Swayze and many others all great actors. Thank You.
This song is a tribute to all men and women of the Trucking industry world wide. I have a lot of respect for truckers..."if you got it a truck brought it"
God bless Randy Travis and Patrick Swayze God now has two great angels together again. There both singing God's praise. Love this song being a truck driver life is hard on the road alone.
So very sorry for your loss. It's a everyday nightmare losing ur loved ones. I lost 2 of my son's. My youngest in 2017 he was 23. My oldest was 30 when he passed in 2019. They both still seems like yesterday. My thoughts and prayers are with you
Back in 1995 just left army drove for awhile but in 2002 wife past away left truck in emergency was fired all in one week two boys still here thank you jesus❤
I think about my boyfriend when I listen to this he's moving in with me and I can't wait to see him I've known him for three years and I can definitely say I found the right guy ☺
It strikes a tone with towboaters, too. We ride riverboats in all weather at all hours for 30 days on & 30 days home (sometimes) & that doesn't always make for a happy home life.
@Tayler Riley my dad is also a trucker and ive lost him his not dead but he went sick and now he is healthy but we havent seen each other for almost 5 years i saw him last time when i was 12 and im almost 17
Too bad that Randy isn't active anymore. This song touches me on a really deep, personal level, and a song like this will always be a classic. Randy could sure teach some of these "Country Stars" a lesson on what true country music is. Sure, some country singers these days can capture the idea, but Randy Travis and older singers like him can really bring the song to life. Other country singers in this time focus on fusing country and pop. Totally loses the spirit of country music.
Pretty sure his health prevents it now. But I agree he is a good artist and could teach others what the old time country is. I don't mind some pop country as it breaks from a normal, but some old time country isn't a bad thing either. Too many want the fast beats of music rather than the slower stuff.
