NVBC Diamonds 16U Claw Back, But Fall Just Short Against Houndz

NVBC Diamonds 16U's effort to come back from down five runs in the fourth inning came up just short, as they fell 5-3 to Houndz on Sunday. NVBC Diamonds 16U closed the gap by scoring on an error and a single.
Houndz got on the board in the top of the first inning after #14 singled, and #1 walked, each scoring one run.
#2 earned the win for Houndz. They gave up four hits and three runs (one earned) over six innings, striking out four and walking five. Grant Huss took the loss for NVBC Diamonds 16U. They went four innings, allowing five runs (three earned) on four hits, striking out three and walking three.
Hunter Weis and Abe Shweiky each collected two hits for NVBC Diamonds 16U. Weis went 2-for-3 at the plate as the outfielder led the team with one run batted in.
#7 and #14 were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Houndz. #14, #4, #3, and #25 each drove in one run for Houndz. #4 stole two bases. Houndz turned one double play in the game.
