I'm getting a u0155 for communication lost to cluster and p1260 theft detected engine disabled. Recently removed my dash to replace my evaporator, everything was working fine before but now my cluster is gone besides the backlight and now get no crank. All connections and fuses are good I know if the cluster is offline it can't read the chipped key and gives the p1260. Any ideas?
Assuming this is an f250 similar to my video, check the gem(SJB) it does supply power to cluster. It's possible there's a pinched wire somewhere from re-installing the dash, this could be for for power or communication. I'll check out these codes and get back to you. If you'd like you can reach out on WhatsApp . I have a link on my bio page
So I reviewed the wiring schematics . Check for power with a incandescent test light at pin 1 ( fuse 26 feed), pin 14 (fuse 36 feed) and also check ground at pin 6 ( from left pillar) at the 26 pin connector at the instrument cluster. If these check out you probably have a can bus wiring issue. Let me know please.
That was the most helpful video in the since that now I know where to look instead of jumping all over , listening to others opinions and confusing the situation. Thank you for the short and simple video.
Best P.A.T..video hands down I feel that I have some real tools to fix my anti theft problem 08 f150 4.2l Would like more info about how bcm effects pats
Mitch I have a 2008 f-450 that sat for 10 years traded to me and I am having the same issues as in the video. I can’t get the pcm to run on after sitting. Ran when parked. Dry climate. Only had one programmed key. Watched several vids for troubleshooting. Everyone is saying I need a new PCM. I can’t believe this yet. Your vids are awesome. Wondering if you have advise. Had a new new cut but scanner can’t get to key erase.
@@vaitx hi there and thank you for your interest and I appreciate the feedback 🤜. YT comments are hard to communicate so here is a link to my discord server where we can chat a little easier. Great video! I was wondering, I just built and installed a 12v Cummins into my 2008 f250. Finished wiring today and when key on the anti theft light is flashing. My tuner says “cannot communicate with vehicle”. I removed A LOT of wiring being I only used approx 5 of the sensors from the 6.4 Powerstroke. Couple questions: if one of those power or ground wires are cut can I run them to 12 volt key on power or to ground (whichever is necessary) to fix that issue? Also, what do I do if the can bus wires were cut out of the harness? Thank you in advance for your help in diagnosing my problem. I’d really like to get the PCM communicating with my tuner and turning over… Austin
Bro , good job getting this far into a project like that ! I want to see pics , reach out to me through the WhatsApp link on my bio page ! I'll do everything I can to help. Yes you can identify wich wires at pcm needs pwr or grd and confirm it's there . Possibly run a temporary wire to start it for now... the can bus thing well I'm not sure. At the end of the day they are just wires too. Twist them together and make sure you have two 120 terminating resistors and it should work on the ford side.. Cummins side may be a different story.. im assuming you have a Cummins ecm, Ford pcm, Ford cluster and original ford gem Module for cab in/outs? We could talk all day about this haha nice work up to now 👍
I suspect I’m having trouble with my PATS, even though my 2007 Expy has been stripped down to a roller/camper (removed front end, powertrain, drivetrain, dash, seats, etc) that I plan to tow as a sleeper/camper. I decided to NOT rewire everything, since the fuses/relays in the BJB and SJB give me about 99% (still no SJB power to 5A “radio” fuse #28 for some reason) of what I want (window operation, lights, etc) with just a few jumpers. I hear the internal relays clicking on/off in the SJB which I assume is the PATS going haywire, but not sure how to disable. I may expose the PCB of the SJB and see if I can solder something to kill the annoying clicking sounds. Any pointers?
@@woodstovehooters4558 this is a very interesting project . I would like more info lol very curious. Start with the circuits that don't work.. find the relay for suspect circuit. Check for power at pin 30 of relay. You can also join my discord server where you can post stuff about your build cheers 🍻 discord.gg/PfxwCWdu
I replied to one But I have checked my wiring going to my computer and I don’t have power on the 13 and five going into the computer on the firewall. I’m looking for the origination of that power and how to check it.
F150 10’ alarm is flashing new battery, alarm is on truck won’t start. I can start it after I dock terminal but alarm still on. Is this a reciever issue?
Thank you for the super fast response! The key is in the on position. no abs, engine light, battery light, etc. just the flashing anti theft light. What do you think? This is on a 2009 F350 with the 6.4
@@BenClem5 you're welcome, it's beer o clock after all 🍻 it seems to me your ignition isn't turning on. Not because of a bad ignition But because a fuse , relay , battery power distribution or ground is at fault. Make sure battery terminals are tight and charged And report back, I can look up wiring diagrams to help isolate ignition circuits after.
@@diagnosticnorth battery’s have been on a maintainer. Any idea what fuses or relays to check? This is a customers truck and he’s anxious to get it back
