He was a gift to the humanity. No one ever, never will be able to replace him. He is the best fashion designer of all time. Bringing life and death so close to people's minds through clothes. He was an ARTIST.
He is the best. There have been many incredible designers, Galliano, Gaultier, Mugler, the list goes on. But none of them have been able to so perfectly combine romance, darkness, and glamour while still producing a collection that is wearable. His choice of fabrics, his use of feathers, his distinctive and impeccable tailoring, it’s just all so incredible. And to think that he created clothes like this for years with a budget far less than that of many other top designers. Proof that real talent will always find a way, and that true love for your craft can create something that will live on forever.
@@just_cade And the company never made a cent while under his reign. Loss after loss. Most of what we saw here was NOT wearable. There's nothing wrong with that, of course. It's fashion after all . Just wanted to point out that you're talking out of your ass.
This is probably one of the shows I will watch over and over. Every look is timeless and iconic. I want every single piece lol You can see how much Isabella Blow inspired these looks, especially the hats. RIP Lee and Izzy 🙏🏽
If this collection dropped today, it still would out slay half of these brands! So much of Lee’s technique is being hijacked by these different fashion houses and people have no clue
Hard to believe there’s only 2 comments? Such an amazing fashion show, wearable, avant-garde, beautiful, mesmerizing, haute couture, stunning, artwork, stimulating lights, perfect soundtrack and so much more!!!! Bravo to the genius of fashion, long live Lee Alexander McQueen
Невозможно глаз оторвать...это не творчество,это настоящее искусство.Каждая вещь безупречна и вне времени.Спасибо Александр Маккуин и Изабель Блоу за вдохновение..Царство небесное!Как жаль,что так безвременно...
A well that never ran dry ideas and creativity that just kept coming one of his more conventional shows stunning silhouettes and concept Philip Treacy was epic aswell
The vibrant colors and ombre. Paired with the contrasting colored belts and corset tops! And the mono tone dresses and corset like belts!!!! 😩😍 And ofc the structured pieces. Gahhh I did every time I watch this show. And gotta love how McQueen always seems to find a way for women to look so empowered. Those arms!? SO much movement, sometimes better showcasing the garments sometimes adding power and strength to the look of the models and therefore the garments. I just can't. This man is was and always will be EVERYTHING. And his name sake house is being cared for and honored well. Bravo! 👏 ❤️ 💔 💀
The hurt I get from seeing all this Beauty from him and how she inspired him and for them both to be gone is unreal ! This is Real Beauty ! Simply Amazing !
although this didn’t have Lee’s theatricality in the presentation, the clothes themselves were fabulous! The opening jacket with the red obi sash at her abdomen was a lovely touch! Very commercial with the classic Lee touches ! Brava!!
This man was the definition of camp (and not in the cheezy over the top way); sheer elegance mixed with FASHION FORWARD and originality. This collection and runway show gave me chills. He is truly the reason why I ever fell in love with fashion in the first place. Truly ahead of his time and gone way too soon.
@@thombardin5234 I'm speaking on behalf of the designer's social circles, which often has more weight than whatever the media chooses the world to gobble up.
@@nichotto Preach. Let's stop calling them superficial platitudes like 'gods', 'pioneers', etc. 'Individual' is perfect to describe Isabella Blow. She started as a brat from a torn, rich family - then went on to selflessly build up other people thru the power of fashion.
I still wouldn't wear it though, I wouldn't expose it to the atmosphere, I would keep it in a temperature controlled glass chamber so I could just stare at it. They're simply too beautiful to wear.
Absolutely stunning, modern, feminine, elegant & so Lee: omg, there is no fault, 15 years ago and now?!? Nothing new in the fashion industry, what a mess!
Love hurts .Hurts turn to hate. Now how to get this fix,it's damaged.Silency for many years. Can i talk communicate no.Not feeling hurt. Not feeling Love. Not knowing Love. How Love taste with any expections? Seperations
No disrespect to Versace, but he and McQueen did completely different things. You can see the heavy British influence that was always present in McQueen's work here, which is not present in any Versace collection (obviously), not to mention the distinctive tailoring, use of feathers, and silhouettes that are signature McQueen. Silky printed fabrics do not equal Versace.
