I tried Magic Spoon, a bunch of flavors, with my mom, sister, and my sister's friend. None of us liked Magic Spoon. It tasted bad at worst and ok at best. Absolutely NOT justified in my opinion.
Really? I liked it. If you're not eating sugar like i was on keto then your taste recepters will pick up the sweetness better. I've tried lots of zero sugar cereal and this one was by far the best !
@@Raddish-IS-Raddground beef burgers (blended with liver/heart once a week) with some hummus >>> literally costs like less than 10 dollars for the entire meal including some bread and butter. It'll fill you up for basically your entire day and it's the most nutritious thing on the planet. Eat regular froot loops as a snack and enjoy them in moderation. Don't buy factory produced garbage trying to trick you into thinking it's healthy. Consume and enjoy garbage while knowing it's garbage, I think that's a better way to live than hiding from the truth.
Oat milk is definitely an underrated drink. Similar to regular milk and is really great for late nights! Also I’d rather go for something than that Magic Spoon stuff; the protein boost is neat but the higher price is way too much for just cereal.
@@yurikozhokin8348Some people just prefer the taste of milk substitutes for specific stuff. Also a good chunk of people do suffer from lactose intolerance, so being able to enjoy the milk taste without your stomach killing ya is nice
@@LamondFan there is ton of lactose-free milk on the market. It seems that things are never good enough these days for people, they have to look for something else. Its like people aimlessly browsing through 596 channels.
Happens with a lot of promoted stuff It's always better to check someone trying those products, outside of a promotion to get a more honest opinion which a lot of times is not great.
they've been in stores like walmart for years.. Just too expensive for the small box you get. Catalina Crunch is the costco go to 10$ for 20oz 11g protein for 1/2cup 1g sugar. Mix that with original cheap special K an you'll be full with all that fibre. Special K protein is decent too
Magic spoon isn't just low sugar cereal, it's primary draw is that it's a low carb and no grain and high protein, so keto (and other friendly). Which is why it's so pricy, other similar cereals like that are also pretty pricey (and don't taste as good imo). I would say if you aren't trying to go low carb there are much cheaper normal cereal options. If you are it's a decent option. Weird aftertaste though, I would stick with strong flavors like chocolate or peanut butter so you don't get that.
fr, people trashing on it here are mostly missing the point. It isn't meant to be competing with regular cereals on price, it serves a different niche.
Exactly, it's going to cost a little more to avoid sugar bombing your kids with sugar & food dyes. Plus the protein keeps them more full to avoid the dreaded 9:30am "I'm hungry"
Your videos are awesome man. I watch them all of the time, especially when I’m hungry. 😂 Keep up the good work, and also, the cereal is definitely worth the 0g sugar if you’re trying to be healthier.
I definitely enjoy puffy rice with stuffed bell peppers and I prefer almond milk because of its flavor and that in the stores I buy it from, it’s cheaper
@@John-Smith02 You’re actually wrong bud, the cereal is great for a healthy version of fruit loops and Its packed with protein. so your opinion is completely wrong❎
Stuffed peppers is a very common dish here in Turkey, we call them "dolma" here which literally means something stuffed. We usually stuff them with rice and ground beef but it's not always a bell pepper that we stuff. Sometimes we stuff potatoes, onions, eggplants and zucchinis too.
I tried that cereal and when he said “less sweet” I was confused cuz it was one of the sweetest things I’ve ever eaten in my life 😂 I still rly liked it tho. Nibbled at a bag for an entire month and it never got stale! It stayed crunchy w/ vibrant flavor. Also very filling. I probably wouldn’t get it too often tho - decent but nothing crazy amazing & kinda expensive
This is a cereal that you eat when you’re eating healthy, Froot Loops has all those dyes and colors and sugars in it, Magic Spoon is just a way healthier version for you.
I want to try Magic Spoon cuz it looks like something I can actually eat. As a kid, I loved Fruit Loops and other cereals but as an adult, realized it's just eating sugar or candy for breakfast.
Heres the thing I do agree with Sho that Magic Spoon isn’t really worth it bc of the $10 price tag and amount that you get but if you’re trying to get a healthier alternative to your original cereal it’s fine once and a while
@@shophocho7798 100% my favorite cereal is honey nut cheerios, i don’t usually have it in normal cereal fashion anymore, i just have about a cup of it dry, no milk sometimes more than once a day
The macros on this product are great but I have got to agree, I wasn't impressed with Magic Spoon... For me the flavor is good but the texture just wasn't there. It was too gritty for me
Magic Spoon is ASS. I bought a 4 pack for 35 dollars a few years ago and it was horeshit. Tasted like paper maché with a gross aftertaste. I tried 4 flavors.
Glad I'm not the only one. I bought like 20 flavors because Jon Prosser and Sam Kohl (on the Genius Bar Podcast hyped it up so much). It tasted bad and at best it tasted ok. I tried it with my mom, my sister, and my sister's friend. None of us liked the cereal.
His tastebuds are all in wack. Some of the things he said taste good/ok straight out didn't or had very little flavor to it... I think it's a Californian thing. Their tastebuds are different from the rest of the country. lol
Mágic Spoon is awesome if you're on a keto diet or serious about reducing your carb intake, it isn't your typical froot loops sugary cereal. It's justified if your goal is carb reduction and you wanna kill the craving, but if you ain't doing none of that, it's a pointless purchase.
I eat magic spoon from time to time, i think the goal there is to have a close enough replacement if you are trying to go protein heavy and lower in carb/sugar.
The peppers are expensive, but justified. I saw 6 peppers, that's 3$ each. Is there 1$worth of food in each pepper? Yes, it appears so. However, it's still expensive, considering you might want a side. Eff no to cereal, don't eat it. You're probably eating crickets now.
There was a time when Magic Spoon seemed to sponsor every podcast I listened to... and then Adam Ragusea started having them sponsor his videos. So I broke down and tried a few rounds. I tried most of the flavors they had at the time and blueberry was my favorite. In general, they have nailed the flavors insofar as they are not cloying or "pretend" flavors (like when something is "watermelon flavored" and it clearly isn't but for some reason we let them get away with it!). But the texture is chalky and not pleasurable to eat. That plus the high price were turn offs. I'm happier with my probiotic protien shakes in the morning anyway.
Almond milk is superior for me. Tastes as close to regular milk as you can get. Oatmilk is a little too thick and creamy for me, but it works amazingly in coffee.
I didn’t try magic spoon, but I tried a similar cereal and it does have a weird taste and texture but I can eat a lot less and feel satisfied so it lasts longer than say fruit loops or Cocoa Puffs
The one positive thing I can say about Magic Spoon is it will disappear one day so less children will be traumatized by its dystopian characters. Say what you will about other cereals, at least you get more for your money if you stay away from mascot or gimmicky cereals.
putting Sour Cream or Greek Yogurt on those peppers is a next-level Eastern-European move also, unless you are wearing the durag, I can in no good conscience take your scores seriously.
I've tried all Magic Spoon flavors besides chocolate. The fruity one was my favorite (did not like the cinnamon roll one), but the one thing i don't care for is how it sticks like mortar to my molars.
I wanted to try it but the price didn't make sense if I was just trying it. I discovered that Grocery Outlet Bargain Market sells Magic Spoon for half the price. I tried it and really disliked the cereal. The texture was terrible. I checked the box was not expired, it's just a bad cereal.
I think you should take into account the cost of the annual costco membership in all of these videos. That is their main profit source, and should be divided by the total amount of stuff you buy from costco through the year.
You should have compared the amount of protein in each cereal to price, ie. Price per gram of protein. It's almost like you're trying to compare a chocolate chip protein bar versus a cookie. They are not the same thing, they're not going to taste the same and they're not going to be priced the same.
The cereal is definitely not worth it. You can get your protein in with other cheaper methods. The milk already has protein, then you can spread protein throughout the day within your diet. I was debating on trying the cereal. I also think there’s cheaper protein cereal options in the store besides this. $14 for cereal just for protein, that’s not a good choice.
I think if I ate cereal a lot, magic spoon could make sense. But it's so rare that I do, and when I do I want some junky sugar shit like cocoa pebbles or cookie crisp.
Most people have said the stuffed bell peppers don't really have any seasoning on it (very little flavor)... yet he loved them? Makes sense seeing how he thinks in and out taste good. 😭😭😭😭😭😭 I think he's use to little flavoring.
I got the 4 pack back then, and the only good ones were chocolate and peanutbutter. Even then, the texture just sucks and if you have braces, they just get stuck everywhere.
You must make good $$$ considering how much you spend per meal. I cook all my own meals and spend hardly any money on food. A lot of rice, tofu, and veg for me. At about $3 a meal justified!
$18 for something that is like 50% Rice with a bit Ground Meat and Peppers. Yeah no. It is so easy to make yourself. And i dont know the prices for each individual thing but over here this would be like $1 for 1 of those
