35 years as a witness. Finally woke up and my heart almost imploded after ACTUALLY seeing the truth of what goes on in Bethel and the lies the governing body spits out. So sad. Even dating back to the false prophecies of Charles Russell and Joseph Rutherford. The organization changes the rules to their liking just like recently with allowing beards. I hope those who choose to, actually dig up the truth and find out what is being printed out in the watchtower is in fact FALSE!

It’s true they don’t celebrate but what that doesn’t mean is that they don’t celebrate anything at all.. 1. They celebrate Weddings 💒 2. They celebrate the memorial of Jesus Christ 3. They celebrate anniversaries 4. They have small and large gatherings 5. They group together to travel together to other countries… 6. They go together to restaurants, theaters, museums, parks, ride horses, go to concerts, super bowls (to watch it), baseball basketball events, soccer, they are very social in the Witness community.. They have fun 🤩

@@supercooldude300 wrong the governing body is NOT a group of people that come out with anything that just randomly decide.. they take the scriptures (and fallible men) and try to understand current events. It is indeed a faith based religion like any other, who ask for Holy Spirit, and are trying to live their faith. It is indeed progressive it their structural philosophy, what I mean by that is that they are willing to correct the wrong understanding unlike other systems that they hold to to their beliefs no matter what.. the Roman Catholic Church use to hold that hell was indeed a literal fire where the bad people will burn it took them a large portion of its religious system until recently to change the doctrine of hell.. now it’s more similar to that of Jehovahs Witnesses. Now anyone deciding to come up with a belief according to the Bible will have responsibility upon god for their wrongdoing.. both blood transfusion and alternative methods of no-blood transfusion has actually helped save lives. The latter has advance sciences and the medical field to use: medicines, use synthetics, fractions of blood (based on the individuals decision) and even storage of their blood for later period of time.

@@InvestigadorTJ that's EXACTLY what they are. A group of people that make rules and policies by making the bible say what they want it to say "like any other religion". Can JW's Donate blood? -No. Okay, so if you can't donate blood, why can you use blood fractions coming from people donating blood. Where in the bible does it allow fractions as a conscience matter and platelets as forbidden? But if the governing body said it's ok, then overnight your beliefs will change. Just like growing a beard. In 1920 it was ok. 2020 it was wrong. Now it's ok again. If the bible didn't change then it's only the GB interpretation that changed which all jw just follow mainly from fear of social repercussions. And that's the problem. You can't think for yourself. And this is exactly why the JWs have lost all the money in child abuse lawsuits as they followed what the leadership has directed them to call the branch first instead of going to the authorities first. In fact your own GB Geoffrey Jackson was in front of the courts being misleading in the Australian royal commission. I could go on but as per the GB controlling instructions you're not meant to look up anything negative about JWs. There's just been a big history of things wrong with it and most of you wouldn't even know. Like their hypocritical involvement with the United nations.

I have been around and partaking in countless different groups of religions from all over the world. Jehovah’s witnesses are the best imperfect group of people I have ever known. We are all capable of sin. We are imperfect, and I know for a fact they do not shun family members for not having the same beliefs. If anything, they show them more love. They are the only and closest Christian religion that supports Jesus Christ as their king. Many times Jehovah’s Witnesses are Misunderstood from outsiders that don’t give them the time of day to really find out. Much easier that way isn’t it to believe nasty rumors. The exposure of false teachings in the Bible like hellfire etc, the teaching that God would support any world war today is nonsense. They shine a light on the only one path that leads to a loving creator God.

They recently created a PR division of their organization. The PR division reaches out to media sources that will give them a good image. A lot of local news stations are looking for fluff pieces to fill air time, so they will often take those opportunities. You can find all kinds of examples of them all over RU-vid.

If Jesus was a Jew and knew the Old Testament and in the old testament we find gods name YHWH more than 6,800 he knew Gods name! Some people leave the jws not completely convinced that the jws is not God's organization , Some leave still thinking that by doing so, they are acting against god. Why ? Well , I think it is because very few have red the Bible completely, from start to finish, once you read it whole, you discover all their lies. This sect is regarded as a cult by world-wide acclaimed experts on the topic that have developed checklist style models of how to identify one. It had its status removed as a religion in Norway due to its abuse of human rights and is going through similar sanctions in Japan. It was humiliated in Australia in the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to CSA and has not implemented any of the commissions findings. It has been peddling an imminent doomsday message for almost 140 years. In Pennsylvania its being investigated for the most abhorrent of crimes within its senior ranks. That said, most of them like the people interviewed are genuine kind hearted people. They have just either been raised in the cult and not allowed to think critically at all about their beliefs, or were at a vulnerable stage in their lives when the JWs came knocking at their door, a common cult recruitment technique. The overwhelming majority of this people need our sympathy and kindness as they are victims of exploitation by a power hierarchy disguised as a religion.

Not everyone agrees .. my conversation with a Mormon over this matter shed light into the topic on cults.. Mormons, Jehovahs Witnesses and Seventh Day Adventist are recognized by the UN 🇺🇳 as recognized religions.. the membership or believers of each one of these surpasses the numbers and time frame to consider anyone of them a cult. Now the evangelical etc denominations that follow a set of orthodoxy reject these same 3 denominations and consider them Christian cults because they “appear to be Christian but are not”..

Each government holds a different way of managing their approval or rejection in religions: China 🇨🇳 if your Christian of any denomination and you get caught you’ll get killed have your organs used in their hospitals. If your in Russia and you are not the in Orthodox Church they won’t accept your religions or you can end up in jail… Iran if you convert out of Islam your stone to death.. think about it different countries different rules.. JW have legally being recognize by Europe as a religion and Russia is not going by that ruling..

Once you join this religion you become captive to it. You can never change your mind and say "I dont want to be a jw any more" (for any reason) without being ostracised and shunned by by your JW friends and family. Lesson 58 of their interactive bible study course called "Enjoy Life Forever", which you will find on their literature carts and online says this: "What if someone we know has decided that he no longer wants to be one of Jehovah's Witnesses? It can be heartbreaking when someone close to us does this. That person may force us to choose between him and Jehovah. We must be determined to remain loyal to God above all else. So we obey Jehovah's command not to associate with such individuals " . According to the jws understanding of the biblical expression "stop associating with" that means to SHUN that person. So its clear jws are not only shunned for committing a serious violation against the bibles moral code, but the instruction from the leadership, who is considered as Gods channel, is to shun those who simply don't want to be a jw anymore.

I was baptized a Jehovah’s Witness at 14. I decided it wasn’t for me at 17 and left at 18. I was kicked out of my home with a week’s notice. My mom gave me a brochure for a youth homeless shelter because I was having a hard time finding a home on such short notice. This was on instruction from church leaders. Those same leaders then hounded me at work for months until I formally left the organization. I’ve seen my parents once since then, as they’re instructed to shun former members.

Many people are forced to pretend to be believers because if they don’t they will be shunned by everyone they know and love. I am currently one of these people. I didn’t do anything wrong, I just want to live my life, but this religion does whatever it can to make your life hell if you even think about leaving. This one of the many reasons JW’s are considered a high control group cult.

They haven't really even changed this belief in the recent Annual Meeting, only the timeline for the cutoff that decides who dies. They really do believe that 99.9% of the earth's population deserves to die, and I feel awful that I once believed and preached that.

Reasons why JonesTown “people’s temple” cult is nothing near Jehovahs Witnesses is because: 1. Time, JW out of more than 140 years have not focused in poisoning suicide or influence government thru votes. 2. witnesses pay their taxes, preach a consistent message, and do not bear arms (use guns) 3. Yes... I have read it but I'm not sure what you're trying to say. If your point is the word Jehovah is in the Old Testament... yes. This translation has been used by Christians since the 13th century. While we're in the neighborhood... read Psalms 86 and 89. You'll see these psalms exclude ANY angel (Any includes Michael) from being like God. Compare these Psalms to Hebrews 1:8, and Col 1. Jesus is the EXACT image of God... @@LindseyMBond they do share the gospel of the kingdom of God which includes Jesus coming being born of a virgin, living among us, suffering dying and resurrecting.. they really do believe that he is the son of God and the father really is the father of Jesus. A trinitarian belief denies this gospel because Jesus is not really a son of god since he has always for all eternity existed and he doesn’t come from anyone else so he doesn’t really have a father.. it’s all just words.. since all 3 members of the trinity are eternal that would only mean the father was never an actual father to Jesus Christians as commanded to “obey” so works aren’t part of salvation but reflect the quality of their saving faith in Christ

Father/Son denotes their hierarchy within the Godhead. It may sound strange to speak of subordination within the Trinity. After all, Jesus and the Father are “one” (John 10:30). Subordination makes us think of a lower rank or a subservient position. To understand how there can be subordination in the Trinity, it is important to understand that there are different types of subordination. The biblical or orthodox view of the triune nature of God acknowledges an economic subordination in the Trinity but denies the heretical view of an ontological subordination. What does this mean? Simply that all three Persons of the Godhead are equal in nature. God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit all have the same divine nature and divine attributes. Contrary to the teaching of many cults, there is no ontological subordination (no difference in the nature of the three Persons of the Godhead). This means that the Trinity is not comprised of greater and lesser gods; rather, there is one God existing eternally in three co-equal Persons.

In public, Jehovah's Witnesses appear to be very sweet people, but I have met many who have left their church, and there are three primary reasons They say way they have left. One is because they feel that they get micromanaged in that religion I guess, and two they practice what they call I guess shunning, i've heard on the news that there are a lot of issues with molestation and how the church does not follow through with getting rid of such conduct abuse like that.

This would be something to commend if they were sharing the actual gospel of Jesus Christ. Jesus says to come to Him as you are JWs say you have to be an exemplary witness before you can be baptized. Jesus says the greatest commandment is to love one another, JWs say to shun even your own blood if they don’t agree with you. Jesus is the only way to the Father, turn to Him in faith and repentance!

The decision not to have beards stems from the fact that they became to be associated with sloppiness by many cultures. Hence Jehovah’s witnesses ceased wearing them to maintain a clean appearance as Christians. However, in more recent years beards have once again become socially acceptable which is why a lot of witnesses men are now growing their beards out. Let it be duly noted that it was always a personal decision to have a beard. The majority chose not to so they wouldn’t bring any reproach on the organization when it came to their appearance.

I spent 2 years in a Bible study with them before I read the Bible for myself and realized I was being told lies about the God who created me. I prayed fervently for the truth to be revealed to me for two weeks straight before God sent a Christian to direct me to some true believers. I’m now born again and filled with the Holy Spirit, reading the Bible for myself as the Berean’s do while leaning on the rest of the body of Christ in my Christian congregation for fellowship and guidance. I will never let men decide my theology for me again. Everything I learn from my Pastor or fellow Christians gets bounced off the Bible and tested for truth.

I have not seen any other religion GOING TO the people. What OTHER church thought of this idea as a way to reach people? Whether folks agree or disagree, you can't knock these efforts. Vendors out in Vegas hustling T-shirts, water bottles, and hoodies trying to make money. JWs out there trying to save lives. Like someone mentioned, everyone has their own experience, but there are good and bad people everywhere. Start with your job, but do you quit every time you don't like something? With school, do you drop out every time you don't agree with a teacher? If so, maybe that's a "YOU" problem. Anyway, to each his/her own, but I love the efforts here ✌🏽

Your comparisons do not make sense. If you quit your job or leave your school, are your former coworkers and friends mandated to shun you completely? No. If you disagree with a company or school policy that is harming people, do they take away your family? No. That's how it is in Jehovah's Witnesses.
