for that money you can get a 50 foot fully carbon monohull, the hull of this one is fiberglass, they are out of their minds with these prices, for the same money you can get a Rapido 50, full carbon.
this one is carbon. if you look at the bow it says dragonfly 40c. the c being carbon. one metric ton lighter than the fibreglass models. also the rapid is built in Vietnam. quality not as good.
I'm just going to venture a wild guess and say the people in the market for a +$1m trimaran know exactly what they want. And it's not always the most feet of interior space per dollar. The form factor on this is a feature, not a bug.
Now this is just a wild ass guess, but interior volume is probably not the top priority for anyone buying a Dragonfly 40 trimaran... Priorities are probably instead things like light wind performance and not rolling at anchorages...
So what is it??? Less width? Less hight? Less freeboard? The whole deck could be higher givin more room right??? I luv tris but, I think you’re right. Let me know.👍👍🙏🙏🇬🇧🇬🇧⛵️⛵️
@paulcoverdale8312 well depending on the country ur in .. in Canada u only pay for length in America u pay for length and width when docking.. outside of that that 40 foot tri has one miniscule bathroom and 2 bedrooms meanwhile a 33 foot mono (yea slower)has 3 bedrooms and 1 to 2 bathrooms.. I feel it really comes down to livability . But if you super rich and can afford multiple boats it doesn't matter.. if u like most people you should be smart and get a boat u can live on for way cheaper
