I just used my thumb nail to push the base in. You only want to put pressure on the base to push it in the hole. Don't hold the whole mirror to try and push it in or it will brake the stem in half. Take your time and do it in a well lit room so you can see exactly what your doing.
We never used to pay taxes for purchases under AUD$1000, but now our government has added a 10% GST on all purchases under AUD$1000. Purchases over AUD $1000 have 10% GST plus import duty, so collectors in Australia are now paying quite a bit more for models. But it is the same all around the world, this hobby is getting more expensive!
QuestTech, I got those acrylic model stands on Ebay from a seller in Poland called 'laskotka' If you search ebay.com for model display stands, his products will come up. He has heaps of different sizes and styles.
Very nice collection rob thanks for sharing! I love the 2 auto art pagani's! And also i want to ask where you get the acrylic stands from to show the cars in this angle do you have a link ore you made it your self?
Sinan, I found it for you. He advertises on the forum 'Diecast Society'. WWW.Scalecarsphotography.com Email: scalecarsphotography@gmail.com and his Ebay seller name is: laskotka . I just checked ebay, there are 8 adds for different stands. Cheers
Frizzo, Unfortunately, the LB 458 Spider build is not going ahead anymore. The body was made to fit a Hotwheels COUPE, not the spider as it should be. There is a major difference in the body shape between the coupe and the spider and the parts from the spider DO NOT fit the resin body. Not accurate enough for me and my collection, that is why the Part 1 video has been removed from my channel. Thanks for your understanding.
Hugo, 4 bases if at a 45* angle (like behind me in my videos) or 6 bases long ways on the shelf or models front to back 7 bases. As you can see behind me in my videos, the Ferrari cases have a second higher back row shelf and I now display all my models like this, 3 on the front row, and 3 on the back higher row. I like them displayed this way as I can see the side shape of the bodies, but can also see the front and rear of the car.
Justin Tse, the tricolore stands out more and the blue carbon is more visible than the black carbon RS. Depends on your choice, I couldn't decide, so I bought both. I want a Zonda F for the collection as well.
