I have 3 x Aa 787B, the original black box, re-released with the trophy and the rare htf #18 from same race all new & before the silly prices nowdays they fetch. This is a pretty good rendition for the price point.
Ay first, I wasn't sold on the technique. I started looking for forged hoods for the 2000 Honda Civic that I am building. WOW! This is a very realistic appearance to a forged Honda hood.
it's funny how collectors (myself included) often don't realize the money they've been spending to collect their 'treasures'. At time I was collecting stuff knowing I wouldn't even have the space to display it as it grew so fast and adjustment needed to be made constantly. Saying your video taught me maybe it's time to reevaluate things would be a lie (deep down we know it guys, but our 'addiction' keeps us from admitting it) but it did wake me up a little. I do own a house (not yet mortgage free sadly) but I realize the money I've spent for years could be spent elsewhere so my daily life would be so much more 'comfortable'. Also I realize I gradually started collecting more things as interests changed, but kept my 'older' collections going more or less out of habit. And although I never missed a meal or didn't pay a bill because of it, it's a stupid thing to do. I'm about your age (51), maybe it's our 'midlife crisis' that's acting up? 🫤 Where other people start spending money to feel young, we're thinking about getting back money we already spent to 'get old' comfortably.
Another interesting thing to note is that while this car utilizes the sliding lexan windows, its inner door panels are exposed carbon. On a genuine lexan sliding window F40, the inner door panels are painted carbon.
Great review, i was under the impression that bbr were the best available, but ive never owned one, they always seemed very expensive, so this review means a lot, i dont think I've heard of ab models, as most of us dont have other models of the same car to judge the best, this video helps so much,
Ps...Is it worth while maybe airbrushing the seat to seal them as I have had rubber go sticky on some of my Auto Art diecast models and fear the same thing happening on these as well just a thought...!! Love you work you are a inspiration.
Watching these over and over as wish to do the same on a pocher Aventador myself not the roadster sadly as sily money now , but that said looking forward to this as a long project...
Excellent work thinking of doing a 1/8 Pocher Lamborghini Aventador as thinking of getting a yellow one and striping the paint and airbrushing it candy blue with tamiya lacquer paint , plus I don't like their paint finishes obviously I'd planned to just primer and repaint the coloured plastic parts ... But I'm a bit nervous as they are not cheap, any advice on the striping would be appreciated...cheers
