Just would like to comment on min spacing of slab reinforcement (reference @13:29 time stamp) as specified by NSCP particularly section 425.2.1 where minimum clear spacing of bars shall be at least the greatest value of 50mm, diameter of the bar and 4/3 times the size of aggregates. Whereas, this NSCP provision i suppose was lifted from ACI 318 code, and according to the code in section 25.2.1 Forparallel nonprestressed reinforcement in a horizontal layer, clear spacing shall be at least the greatest of 1in or 25mm, db, and (4/3)dagg. This made me confuse of which one to use? 50mm or 25mm?

Sir, is it okay to have a one-end continous slab with 900 mm in short span and 1800 mm in longer span?
