Love mark hall, way to control sportsmanship! I would have knocked his teeth out! Go PSU, grew up there 25 minutes from there in Barree Pa. Now 34 and was a 2 time state qualifier but choked so feels good seeing these boys shine under the light!!!! Got season tickets and drive 2 1/2 hours to watch every match, can't wait til first match!!!!
Ok guys need a little help. 7yo grandson starts wrestling this fall. I have so much to learn to be supportive and need to learn as much as I can about the sport in a hurry. 1st question: What does leading by criteria mean? 2nd question: Why is a 5-5 score not a tie? Is it becuz the foreign guy wrestled dirty and was penalized? Have been watching vids, but too much not explained. HELP!
Im sure your Grandson is wrestling in folkstyle this is freestyle very different in folkstyle. In folkstyle you just go into overtime if its a tie and there is no criteria, Hope this was helpful.
But to answer your other questions, in freestyle there is always criteria to put one wrestler ahead of another. 1- Who had the move worth the most points ( a four point throw has criteria advantage over two takedowns or a takedown and two step-outs for example). 2- Least number of cautions 3- Last point scored
