Pride Month is so disheartening every year, and this year has been even more volatile than years past. It does leave all people, even unbelievers, so unhappy, so broken, depressed... it's just awful when believers know there is something so much better.... more fufilling... more peaceful.... the way we were CREATED to be like....

Yes, yes, YES!!! Oh my gosh, every year it just gets worse... and you see just broken, hurting people thrown everywhere in the carnage. It's just awful... and makes my heart so heavy. :(

I like how you said if we have to suppress ungodly desires, we need to work on our spiritual growth and maturity.... just suppressing is definitely a recipe for disaster. I'm praying for some things right now in myself and my family ... that God would remove those desires in us because it's only HE who can change/transform us.

Amen- it really is so important to understand the role of spiritual maturity in our lives. And to know that this is a continual refinement process. We don't just "get reverent" once and never have to deal with it again. 😜

@morethantheravens1593 Once you start loving dresses, you'll never look back. I haven't worn trousers since another Heidi (Rain Country - Highly recommended channel) issued a 30 day skirt challenge. I haven't worn trousers since.

Yes, we have to be different than the world. I tell my children all the time that we should talk, dress, act like the world or watch/listen to the same things or go to the same places as the world. Our lives must look radically different. We must be reverent.

With tears in my eyes I hear you saying some wonderful things: You are not a citizen of this world, you are waiting for God to call you home. Beautifully said sweetheart. This world is a big illusion and I am also showing "others" that there is nothing important than the Lord. But people love to talk about the world and I just walk away. May the Lord bless those with knowledge. This world is easy to understand when your whole day is surrounded with the Lord. Nothing else can make me feel in bliss. Thank you for your wonderful daily talks. I love hearing about the Lord and I only listen to people who talk about the Lord daily. What else do we wanna hear about? Be blessed, Heidi. ❤

I absolutely adored the cupcake explanation. I actually wrote that down to go into my prayer journal/binder as one of my fav quotes. Also. The "setting the bar" ... the way you explained it. It shed a new light on my husband's POV of things and I LOVE THAT.

I love the picture God gives us in the Bible of His original plan for Israel... to be SET APART from any other nation in the world, which in turn reflects HIM! If we did it "right," without sin, we would all reflect God in a way that's different from everyone else in the world... to the point we stand out, where unbelievers would have to notice and have to ask what made us so different. The USA was founded on Biblical principles, where our forefathers spent hours in prayer before they made laws or guided the nation... and God blessed it richly. But now... look at us... This past year, the Bible was REJECTED in Congress and told by a representative that it didn't belong there. WOW.... We had South Koreans come to our church on a mission to the US to pray for US. Missionaries are coming HERE to pray for US because of the corruption and downfall the world is seeing in our country. It was the most powerful thing I've witnessed in a long time... and it left a HUGE impression on my heart.

Yes!!! We, as the body of Christ, are to be SO different! We should stand out like sore thumbs! The church in America is in BIG trouble- and it's been a disease that's spread internationally. John MacArthur's book 'Christ's Call to Reform the Church' is great on this topic too!
