Preparing For Paint
Finishing all the odd and ends prepping the boat for paint. The next video will primarily painting and finishing the boat. There's alot that goes into building a boat, didn't want to skip out on any steps 100% start to finish build series.

Dude that looks rad, in longs that ice storm was crazy I had about and inch of ice on me and the wife's vehicles, did you drive around in it? It was a ghost town on the road I laughed so damn hard man felt like I stepped into the twilight zone it was so damn odd but refreshing

Heat from a heat gun will make that epoxy crystal clear and get rid of any bubbles

@@IRONCLADRC We have three different conversations going. No wonder I don't know where I am........ Actually, I think my message was deleted because it contained a link. It was to a photo of a Confederate IRONCLAD warship and I suggested that as a paint scheme. Like a little brother to the rigger.... 😏

Oh yea that would be sweet. I was thinking about that. If I paint her scale what would you suggest for paint? What type paint? 😳

@@IRONCLADRC People get great results with the big box store rattle-can paint; Krylon or Rustoleum. If you have an airbrush, you can do anything you like but poly is probably the toughest. Tough paint would be good for you. 😏

I would not paint it. I would wood stain it with clear to keep it light. 😊

I'm up in the air about paint. Not sure what to use? I would keep it natural but it's not exactly perfect.

@@IRONCLADRC Paint on wood will be super hard and will take time to make it look nice and smooth to fill in all the wood just adding weight. Homedepot/Walmart have wood stain sealers. It will stain the wood and seals with a hard coat that's waterproof. You won't have to sand anything and it will stay light. The paint route will need a primer then a sealer and a lot of sanding to get even and a lot more work.
