1/2A Combat Wing COX 049 Black Widow 

I fly rc planes and this brings back great memories. It looks like this part of the hobby might be more fun!

We used to fly two of those at the same time and put ribbon off the back and dog fight to see who could cut each other's ribbon off. Brings back some great memories.Thanks

Over 50 years ago I built and flew the Baby Voodoo with a Golden Bee. Watching this is Great.

During my younger days , I built 5 little Satan's with black widow engines .

I had a combat wing like that back in late 70s with a black widow and that was some fun times. Bump up the nitro and hang on.

Loved those planes!! Went three of those, and two Cox engines before a … ahem … young lady talked me into long-endurance free-flights and strangely, Estes and Centuri rockets. Loved those in my time, still have a U-Control PT-19 in my storage crate.

That is how flying becomes an adiction , love it .

Needle position is wrong! Needle should be inside. I mean on the left side of the model. Pickup tube position matters.

L'll Satan? Flew that for many years and then built a .40 powered voodoo. Still have a spare unbuilt L'll Satan kit.

The reed valve motors are a pita. Go with a TD with a n aftermarket backplate with a pressure tap. Also electric starter.

Your propeller is too big 😤 that's why it flies very sluggish 😠 get a 5 inch , it will pull more in the wind
