In the three years I've been watching ear videos, I have NEVER EVER seen an ear this deeply impacted with such an assortment of textures in SO MANY levels of impaction. I am so impressed by your ability to break down the layers, both vertically AND horizontally. Thank you for sharing your amazing talents with us. I am sure it took several days before your patient's ear was totally pain free but your expertise made it happen. It was wonderful watching you do it.😊

That was really grisly - granulation tissue, bleeding, infection - this poor patient must have been in serious trouble before you got to them: you bring so much relief to your patients. I have mild ear itching, I think in reaction to the codeine I have to take, but these patients suffer horribly, and are fortunate to have you to treat them.

And the majority of us do not mind seeing the blood, Mr. Neel! Please do a follow-up video: many of us would love to see the improvement from the antibiotic spray! The best of wishes for the patient to make a very quick recovery! Oh, and please, Mr. Neel, could you place your instrument next to the debris when you are finished? If you visit your gp now, they tell you to go private, they don't help anymore. You can't afford that, in the UK now you are choosing between heating and eating in too many homes. So you can't go, you dig about with a cotton bud, which actually makes it worse, but you have little choice now. Another government change to our NHS.

It's honestly soothing to watch. I would go with my dad to get his ears cleaned out professionally and the stuff they took out his ear was terrifying. My dad's eardrum was eaten away due to a childhood incident he got from having too much stagnant water in his ear, which in turn caused his entire eardrum was eaten away from infection. My dad was just a boy and they were poor and lived in the mountains, not easy access for them to have medications much less did they have insurace or money. They had barter what , little they had just to get A treatment for the boy.😊They were not as advanced as they are today. It was very barbaric!

This is my favourite keratosis obstrans video, I think it's just the best. Just a note, don't apologise for long video's. If people get bored then they can log out,as for myself I watch every last second. You are a brilliant audiologist, you have great patience with your patient's & you never give up. In my mind you are all of the above with the added bonus of being a wonderful tutor. So Thank Q Mr Neel for being you. ❤

19:57 It was great that you not only removed the blockage but the patient was enjoying the procedure instead of having a painful but necessary procedure to relieve the blockage.

Mr Neel, thank you for sharing your video and thoughts on this patients ear and treatment, the right ear looked horrendous. Our son has a damaged trapanic membrane and permanent deafness from birth, but two years ago he developed an horrendous condition that required emergency treatment, consultation, then CAT and MRI scans and ultimately 5 hour surgery where the surgeon found a huge Cholesteatoma tumour in the inner ear which was eating away the scull bone, almost through to the brain. Trouble was he also has narcolepsy and sleep apnea due to his permanent brain damage post birth caused by gross negligence by nursing and midwife staff at a military hospital in Germany because he was born premature and had hyaline membrane disease, stage 4 air block in his lungs and palpable mass in the abdomen that later just disappeared. They missed his ear was also permanently damaged, and had hearing loss in both ears. You do an outstanding job for your patients 👏 🙌 . Keep up the great work. Best regards, Chris.

Oh my goodness that was an awesome video. The care you gave to your patient is top notch. I also enjoy seeing these type of videos. The blood doesn’t bother me. I hope this patient feels better soon. I also like the way you explain everything during the procedure. I like learning from you.

Goodness! No wonder this pt was hurting! That granulation tissue just looks like it’s painful! The drainage comes right back that is one the eardrum, wouldn’t that indicate puralence rather than residual sodium bicarbonate? Excellent work Neel!
