They ain’t running exact a 1 and half mile. It’s probably way short with those times. The majority of people finished at around 9 minutes yea fucking right lol
Lol you’re right, their measurement is complete BS. 9 minute mile and a half is actually a pretty rare feat and a lot of them finishing under 9 minutes were running like they were frolicking in a meadow field 🤣
Thank god I’m not the one that’s crazy here nervous about my running test finish a mile and a half in 9 min? That means they gotta be at least running 10mphs non stop gtfo
@@josephfranco2550 brother you ain’t the only one. I’ve been in powerlifting for 10 years and have been running for the academy test and I’m fucking struggling. I heard that time and was like wtf?
These people are like wow I can't believe I knocked 2 minutes off my mile and a half!!!!! 4 laps would have made much more sense for their times. 10+ mins.
8:45 minutes for a 1.5 mile run!! WTF! That's around a 5:45 min mile! That's pro runner speeds. Olympians get 4 min miles. Do you have close to Olympians running there?
what ever 11:59 or shorter will get you through to the next step. If you get a second above that, they’ll throw you out. If you get a shorter time than that, it’ll put you more above. Your best bet is to practice, practice, practice. Vermont State Police makes it easy, if you don’t make it the first time, you can always take the next test in a month. They have testing once a month which is awesome.
Thanks.... Another question if you have time. Lets say you can run it faster than 11:59. would u get extra points if you run it really good, like faster than 9 minutes or 8 minutes??? Or all they care about is whether you can run it faster than 11:59 or not?
yeah, most people finishing around 9 minutes is not realistic at all. I bet it s their lap times. Anything faster than 10 minutes is hard and those are just lapping at around 9 minutes as they are nor really pushing.
@@gopet400 it’s not. The people in this video are getting Olympic time completions. 8:45 to complete a mile and a half is close to Olympic time. This track is most likely LESS than one mile, let alone a mile and a half. My guess is this is about .8-.9 miles, 1.1 max.
if you doing anything above 10 minutes you did not train enough or have enough motivation unless you hade some injuries like runners knee like i had but luckely i still have a month before i join i can run 1.5 mile no problem only i gotta be faster before my runners knee i did it under 9 minutes
@@jellybeanz5426 Stop using what you're personally capable of to compare to the rest of the population. I have no idea why people do that like it means anything. There'll always be exceptions to every rule.
