We needed to drive to Portugal. Couldn't fly the 182, coudn't fly commercial. So we took the 2020 (made in California!) Tesla Model 3 which I've had since new, and drove for 3 days.

My niece Joana's wedding, my recently-passed brother Marcus's ashes spreading, some work meetings with BestAgent team members based in Lisbon, and a lot of family to catch up with are some of the reasons we had for traveling to Portugal. Plus I needed to retrieve a computer too big to fly with. (Also, we considered flying in the Cessna, but we needed a car when we got there, and more luggage space).
Annemarie was 7 months pregnant, and Clara and Archie were excited (even though they have both made the trip multiple times before, pre-covid, but were too young to remember).
