#1 Collector Boat 

Terry is one of the Greatest boat guys you will ever meet. Years ago, my grandson would help me judge a boat show in Houston. After a number of years we found a '67 Century and entered it in the show, it did not win and my grandson was crushed. The following year he & I enter a '70 Century, it didn't win it's class. But the Mayor was talking to Terry, Chief Judge, and Terry told the story of my grandson judging for years but not winning. The Mayor looked at my grandson's entry an he won Mayor's Choice Award. As a High School Senior he was in heaven that day. All thanks to Terry and his desire to introduce young people into Classic Boating. Thank you again Terry.

This boat definitely fits in here, more than enough automotive parts in it.

Ultimately, I would tow that with a restomod ‘55 Chrysler hemi wagon, painted to match….that would be super cool, to me!

Amazing this classic survived after the accidents! Great that the owner put his heart and a lot of cash into bringing it back to it's glory. I have always loved such boats since I was a kid and also enjoy them now at the Lake Tahoe wooden boat classic. Nice to see Dennis again!

Those were the most "car like" boats i've ever seen. When i was a kid growing up here on Lake Guntersville (Alabama) in the early 60's, my dad helped out with the Unlimited Hydroplane races held here for several years. He had a good friend from work at Redstone Arsenal that had a Cobra like that & every year he brought it out & ran it up & down the causeway right in front of the spectators. Very memorable for a 10 yr. old.

Had one in 1977, 21 ft CAD powered. It was a little faster. Uncle had the Hemi powered one. He used to get a little mad as I always beat him in a race. His was hull #43 and mine was #34. both came out of Indiana. Sold for $7000.00 in 1978. I gave all the build records to CC Cobra club in 1978, thats how they have records.

I'm not really a boat guy but always loved the Crisscraft,there's a company out of Italy that made wooden speed boats too but this thing is timeless.And to have an airplane tail fin & a hemi!!Get out!!

There was a Cobra on Greenwood Lake NY when I was a kid growing up in the 50s and 60s. It was always a thrill to see it cruising on the lake. It was so damn cool!

I have a 1954 century 17 foot that I bought in 1975. I had it on Lake Wallenpaupack in Pennsylvania and one day I was cruising down the lake and pulled in to get fuel and in front of me was that boat! I started salivating🤔😂

Absolute Classics in Kelowna, BC have started a concourse level resto on one of these Cobra's!

There was a guy across the lake from us on Lake Joseph in Muskoka that had one of these, and he wasn't afraid to use it. It was one of those boats where when you heard it coming, you stopped and watched it motor. Fast, cool, and classy.

I have a 59 ski boat and I tried very hard to get a Rambler station wagon for several years. I thought it would be an absolutely amazing idea to tow it to a boat or car show

I graduated from high school in 1958 and went to work for Glascraft boat company in Humboldt, Iowa. My job was sanding the boats with a sander, worst job I ever had. I came home at night and showered but couldn’t get the fiberglass washed off and it itched like crazy. They went out of business a couple years later.

When I worked in auto parts in the early 90s, I had truck driver who was friends with a coworker stop at the store after close. He was hauling several high end cars bought buy some Japanese millionaire. I don’t remember any of the other cars that he was hauling and the reason why was there was a Rolls Royce shaped like a boat, though not to the extreme of being one. It was so unique and sharp looking I’ll never forget it. I never got the full story on it but after a chat with the my ex navy friend, who was the buddy of the trucker, yeah I wasn’t remembering wrong. He doesn’t remember the story behind that one and isn’t in touch with that guy anymore but I’m gonna start seeing if I can find some more info on it.
