You guys are really fun to watch. I know the sanding is not fun but you have made a lot of progress. The old engine is gone, leaks have been fixed, the boat cleaned and the aft deck made more useable. The boat looks great in her new cradle. Just remember you have thousands of subscribers who watch your videos every week so don't be discouraged.

If you need to boost your morale, just look back at your early videos and see how far you've progressed. There's nothing you can't achieve. Your approach to the project is just about ideal - not slapdash, not perfectionist and very watchable. Some channels are very slow moving and sometimes their episodes are 30 minutes watching someone watching their paint (Epiphanes) dry - BORING. I enjoy the light hearted intervals as well, don't let the project get you down.😊😊

tip: 1) grid the bilge... re-glass it and put it all in primer!. 2) grind the Hull and keel, reglass it and paint it. put it in the water! 3) work your way up to the rest of the ship! another tip: buy a shipload of epoxy and glass!

Being on the "hard' certainly needs the correct Cradle!! Yay for you both! The Girl with the lead needs better self protection-dangerous gases come out of that melt-her husband knows better. You’re doing great! Try finishing the windows, that way you can a. Have a dry boat, and b. When you feel down you can look at them and think that it’s something that is done. Focusing on jobs that are 100% complete is a good way to keep up morale.

Wow, so nice to see your energy put towards saving an old boat. As I watch your friends melting lead I shutter to think of the danger of what she's doing.i blew up a lead pot with too little protection, and relieved 2nd and third degree burns. Please ask her to get proper body protection. Large burns are life threatening, and very disfiguring. Being low budget should not mean messing up your life. I'm also a retired ems/firefighter,so you can understand my concern. I will say, I get encouragement to keep going on my old boat project, from you two. So thanks for that. I'm 69 and move a bit slower then you do. I wish you well.😊

If the friend who sent me the link to episode 1 of Sailing Seabird had told me that within 3 weeks I'd be addicted to your vids, I'd have laughed in his face. How wrong would I have been! I don't think I'm a sailing person, but your honesty and attitude to life has drawn me in... So who knows. And I now understand possibly why the boat renovations at Sandwich quay seemed to go on for months on end without any obvious progress. Dont cheat or skip on boat projects, even if its a small hole in the seam of a window. Such things always will come back later as a reminder of how messy things could be if you cheat or skip things. A proper job can hold for a long time in extreme conditions. I´ve following several hunders of channels for years. Prioritze your projects. Example as follow: Does it float? The most important thing is that a boat floats. Interioir, deck, can always be done later. - Hull - Keel - Topside - Deck - Windows - Thruhulls - Propshaft - Chainplates / Mast / Rigging ( Is a vital part of a sailboat) ---- Interior - Engine - Tank - Water tank - Electrical/Batterybank - Greywater - Head - Bilge - Galley Start early, end workday late. Set goals and achievments, tasks for the days. The more time you spend on the hard, the more expensive it gets. Dont see this a critics, its merely to help you find a way thru the projects.

As more water came out of the keel when Seabird was moved have you thought about blowing air in under pressure in some of the drilled holes. Just to see if it can be dried.

Good job, good job. When looking at the big picture it can get and be so overwhelming. One day at a time, always moving forward and when the launching takes place, you'll look back and think well hell that wasn't so bad and it really went by pretty quickly. Love the videos and Stuarts always calming influence. You make a great team.
