This is the 2nd paddle I've gotten because of your reviews. The 1st one was the 18k pro diadem which I love. But this one is a beast thank you so much.
If you had to choose between the M2F 16mm or the CRBN 3X 14mm what would you pick? I know they’re a bit different playing styles but I’m curious on your input! I have both being shipped in! Thank you for the discount.
@@stspickleball I have both now and am waiting for this weeks game! I usually play once a week with my brother and company.. I WILL get back to you I promise. But I think I’m going to like the CRBN better.. I’m a skinny guy who loves up temp game.. if I can get myself to calibrate drops and dinks with the 14mm I think I’m gonna love the power the CRBN gives me
Dude the new paddles that come out are legit! Not all of them. But you saw how long the top paddle of the year lists are this year from the other reviewers too. You really can’t find an objectively bad paddle this year. So I just try and highlight the outliers and the ones innovating.
@@WorldTraveler222 lol not my ultimate goal. If that happens then great but I just want to grow my channel and my audience and create energy around paddles like this that are doing something outstanding. The Mach 2 Forza has the best control / spin in the game!
Great job as always! How woukd you say this compares to the Mach1. Any similarities or differences. Would it be right to say that Mach 1 would have more power, whereas Mach2 would have more control and spin?
Yes you nailed it in your last statement there 😊 I would personally take the Mach 2 Forza over the Mach 1. I like the Mach 1 but the Mach 2 Forza is just a standout for me.
I got the Mach 2 and you are right great control and softness but compared to Perseus less power and more spring of volleys. I wonder if I needed Mach 1??
I can look into it! I’m sure it’s a wonderful paddle. Just been busy with all of these new paddle releases! Crazy. Thank you for the input and the comment though I really appreciate it!
Good Morning, I still keep going back to my SK Luxx Invicta just due to the control. I have the BNB Fatboy but will most likely return it as its too Poppy for my liking. Is the Mach 2 Forza the best comparison to the Luxx? Only reason I am looking for a new paddle is the grit on the Luxx seems to be wearing out. Any advice? Thanks!
Yes I would say the 16mm Mach 2 Forza is going to be the most plush option with super high spin and far longer durability of spin in comparison to the Luxx :)
I'm confused. Other reviews are saying the 14mm has more spin... I can't find any definitive answers to 14 vs 16mm paddles in general of which creates more spin.
It’s a pretty minor difference around 80rpm across most reviews that I’ve seen and my own being close to 100. It can really just depend on weighting and surface grit from paddle to paddle and how they are manufactured I wouldn’t choose a thickness based on spin but rather on pop and power preference!
Thanks to your reviews, I am ordering this today... I was going to go with CRBN 3 Series but this won me over, and NOT because it's less expensive. Did I make the right choice? :) Thanks again man.
I am torn between the Mach 2 Forza 16mm (M2F), Vatic Pro Prism Flash 16mm, and the 11six24 Huarache-X 16mm (weighted). The M2F indeed has the most spin, and dipping drips (drive/drops) are phenomenal. I can do the same with the other 2 paddles, but this just gives more control and pinpoint accuracy. The M2F's top level control and spin allow me to hit deep without fearing that I'll hit the ball out, with Dura, Selkirk, and Franklin balls. You can no kidding swing away with all 3 paddles if playing with a Franklin ball. Bottom line, M2F is becoming my paddle of choice in only a week! Highly recommend a demo or outright buying it due to their outstanding return policy. Forgot to mention, best description of how to add lead tape to a paddle, very specific starting point and length of tape.
Since it’s been a few months since your post, what’d you decide?? I’m on the fence with a few of the paddles you mentioned and would appreciate the input! Thanks
I want more power but lighter for hands battle, and just in general i like lighter paddles. So im stuck on picking between 14mm or 16, any advice or help?
@@stspickleballcoming from a Loco though, would this be a good upgrade? I do love the light weight. But im afraid of the shorter length, and if its gonna be less power on my drives? Thanks!
Im really feeling the standard face with a long handle recently. At the moment I’m playing with the 16mm colin johns scorpeus and loving the standard face and the long handle combo and the control of the paddle. Unfortunately the face is cracking in a few places and the the spin while fine is noticeably less than my double black diamond and I can’t go for nearly as much on serves, drives, or roll volleys so I think with the shape/handle, the control, and the spin the volair mach 2 forza 16mm is going tk be a winner
100% it really does feel and play a lot like the Scorpeus it just has WAY more spin. Brand new paddle vs brand new paddle the Mach 2 will have around 400-500 more rpm depending on the paddle you get. That’s a ton… and Joola paddles seem to wear down rather quickly. Not the case with Volair 😊
Thanks for all the hard work and effort you obviously put into these reviews, brother. i just pulled the trigger on a Mach 2. One thought, though: i know you did a review of a $10 Amazon paddle vs. a high-dollar paddle, but watching your videos, i found myself often wondering what your rating system would rate my current (Onix Z5) paddle's attributes for comparison in order to gauge my decision. Do you think a video with compiled ratings of some of the most common beginner-to-intermediate paddles would be helpful for those looking to upgrade? i feel like if i knew your ratings for the Z5, i would have had a much better reference point to start from. That type of video may help out somebody in the market for that type of paddle as well... who knows? Anyway, keep up the good work! Subscribed & liked~!
Thanks for the input and for the positive vibes!! That’s a great idea. Honestly the Onix Z5 has a Nomex core low spin but does have very low swing weight around 100. Literally any raw carbon fiber paddle with a honeycomb core is going to be a massively noticeable upgrade in performance from the Z5. I think you made a wonderful choice.
Between the 14mm Mach 2 Forza and the MUVN 13S, which do you prefer? I’m coming from a DBD but want a new doubles paddle with a lower swing weight. I’m looking for faster hand speed at the net and more aggressive punches and rolls to keep opponents from getting up to the kitchen. Always appreciate your vids!
Between those two I would take the Mach 2 Forza. More spin and the rest is fairly relative. A bit more pop as well. I think it would work incredibly well given what you’re looking for from a paddle! 😊 you can use my code STSPICKLEBALL also to save 10% 😊😊
I have them on the way right now to start testing. I don’t have super high hopes as I do think there are some really incredible budget paddles available right now like the Neonic and also these new paddles from Mark pickleball. But I am always open minded and stay unbiased! They might be wonderful.
Dude, I literally just received the Mach 1 on your review/advice. Like it a lot and notice the topspin immediately as do people I'm playing with, including hitting real looping topspin serves. Now this comes out a few weeks later! Do I need to get this now for even more spin or will I not notice much of a difference with the Mach 1??
It’s up to you man! It’s not going to be a massive difference. Mach 2 will have more spin and more control but less power. Don’t get a fear of missing out 😂 enjoy your new paddle!
Disregarding price on Diadem EDGE 18k, which would you recommend/prefer between Edge 18k and Mach 2 Forza 16mm? Also, any durability issues with Mach 2?
I’d go Mach 2 Forza all day 1000%. The diadem edge feels cheap with the exposed polymer and the weighting is funky. The Mach 2 Forza is fast in the hands, has better spin, super durable using high quality materials, and feels premium on the hand through and through. It’s in my main rotation whereas the Diadem Edge 18k is not 😊
I started with lead but have since moved to no lead tape here. I like it feeling quicker with the slightly higher stock swing weight so I left it. The sweet spot and stability feel so good I don’t see a need for it as of now!
This paddle is insanely good, not even considering the spin. Twistweight of 7.37 on the 16mm gives a massive sweet spot. I usually add some weight to an 8 oz paddle to get my serves deep enough, but this one has enough power without adding any weight.
I hope this reaches you STS pickleball. your videos are awesome and thats why I bought the 16mm volair mach 2 forza. Just 2 questions, do you recommend putting a 3g pre cut lead at 4 and 8 o clock? i tried it and i cannot decide if i should do the same or not. Lastly. I noticed a big difference between the gritness of the 2 sides of the paddle. Is this a manufacturing error?
Hmmm yeah there shouldn’t be any difference in grittiness maybe email them? Lastly I play it with the 2 3g pre cut strips at 4 and 8 as it keeps the swing weight and overall weight the lowest for fast hands 😊
Honestly it’s fairly relative because the Luxx does have a hole and is edgeless. But I’d say the Luxx might have just a tad more dwell. But less spin and spray on grit 😓
So the 20mm thickness, hole and the edgeless design create more plushness in comparison, but seems less forgiving sweet spot wise to this paddle and yah… spray on grit? Gonna give the Mach 2 Forza a shot. Your code used! Thanks!
@@stspickleball high hopes over here! Just got my BALLR Heat and have really been enjoying it coming from the Mach 1 Forza surprisingly. Just feels more plush, controllable and predictable. Sounds like the Mach 2 Forza will check all the boxes 🤞🏼
Have you played with he A11N Zenith C8.. I'm just wondering how they would compare as they seem very similar..I know the C8 and the Scorpious are identical..
I have indeed! It wasn’t really anything special I would get the Mach 2 Forza 100% personally. Way more spin and a much better feeling off the face. Literally the highest spinning paddle in the industry right now.
Just got the Mach 2 Forza. It's very very similar to the C8 imo. Well, I should say that it's similar to the new version of the C8, which used to be a sandwich construction and now is a thermoformed paddle. What's wild is although the C8 has an advertised 5.25 handle and the Forza a 5.5 handle, the C8 handle is actually longer.. I'll send you a pic to your ig.. thanks again
I’ve had a Ruby for weeks! Since it’s Kevlar I’m taking my time to understand it as I try to do with all of my reviews so I can give a very thorough review on it. As of now it’s in my top two paddles along with the Mach 2. It’s really great.
@@86309 oh yeah way more control on the Ruby. Elongated power you have to keep your paddle angle down on everything offensively and defensively speaking otherwise you’re screwed 😂
I ordered a 16mm scorpeus bc I was having FOMO. Lol. It seems like they would play similar but the forza edges it out in most categories? I might just return the scorpeus, what else would you recommend for best control paddle? TIA
Yes 100% I think this paddle is extremely beginner friendly and will give you more spin than you've ever had previously which is super fun to start utilizing early on :)
You want something very poppy? For hand battles? Hmmmmm. I’d go Mach 2 Forza 14mm. It just has more spin and also seems a touch more controllable to me 😊
Mach 2 Forza 100%. Much larger sweet spot, higher spin, and better control. Drops, resets, and my dinking game especially with spin are the things I’m prioritizing most right now and this paddle does all of those things the best that I’ve tested thus far 😊
@@adamsalafia6324 No, I wouldn't say so at all. It can be a little funky transitioning from an elongated paddle to a wide body, but either way its much easier to transition from another shape to a wide body than a wide body to an elongated shape as you have to be much more accurate and keep your trajectories and paddle angle down utilizing a more power oriented paddle like an elongated paddle. It would be an easy transition :)
Currently, I have Six Zero Ruby, and started thinking of getting the mach 2 Forza (16mm). My main things that I'm looking for are spin and power. So I just need some opinion about it @stspickleball
If you want spin and solid power I wouldn't go Mach 2 Forza as it's a control oriented paddle with less power. I would grab a TKO-CX 12.7mm Paddletek from Pickleball Central and use code STSPICKLEBALL and save a bit on it. It's incredibly if you're looking for power.
The Ruby and the Mach 2 are neck and neck for me but as of right now I find myself naturally grabbing the Mach 2 out of my bag more often and yes I am liking both of these paddles more than the Mach 1 Forza. Crazy right?
Honestly I’d take this. 16mm if you want control, 14mm with 3” of 1g/inch lead tape at the 4 and 8 o’clock positions if you want in my opinion the best all court paddle available right now.
That’s fair actually yes. I wanted to compare it mainly to paddles I’ve done videos on but it does out perform the Scorpeus in my testing. I never made time to get a video done on the Scorpeus. Similar feel off the face but WAY more spin.
