Holy crap Martin is insane, he has such a smooth stride! My best mile in a race was 4:57 with trainer shoes. I’ll have to get back into running and hopefully get a new PB. I did track as a freshman and sophomore in high school and the mile was my best event.

You could do the weighted farmer walk or farmer carry. Have them carry 50 pound dumbbells and see how long it took them to go a mile, or something like that.

Love my Crocs. Definitely the most comfortable shoes I own. Wish they made actual running shoes with the roomy clogs platform ( they do have the Pacer, but it's not the same.)

I may very well be over looking this, but it appears my prior comment was removed. I’m a subscriber and enjoy your content Nick. Have been a big fan of yours ever since the 800m “Oregon sweep” in the 2008 trials and seeing the team spirit alive. Loved your never quit attitude and watched your old races with my son. Would love to see you give an acknowledgment to Sir Walter Running for a few of your ideas. They hosted the Croc-o-mile in 2019 as an opening to their annual Sir Walter Miler elite event in Raleigh, NC. They also hosted the “Denim Mile” in 2017. Runners World even picked it up a little covering the story of Sarah Rapp’s 5:12 in Crocs. These are both things you did on your channel as well. I’m not taking anything away from your content as the effort and editing alone is hard work, but giving a little “tip of the cap” to Sir Walter for some possible inspiration would be nice. Pat and Sandy of “Sir Walter Running” are doing their best to highlight running and have created possibly the best fan experience in the world for running where spectators are allowed on the track to witness the event. In no other professional sports environment are the athletes and spectators so close. Because of the mutual admiration of elite runner and fan, the event works. I’ll continue to be a fan and subscriber but hope acknowledging a little inspiration to some of your content can occur to help the entire running community grow. Cheers!
