me and my bestfriend saw a shooting star after i broke up with my boyfriend, i loved him truly. After we broke up i met the boy i call my bestfriend and we would bike around town all night during the summer. The last time me and him hung out we stopped to look at the stars in a field when we saw the star.a couple days after he committed and that was the last time i saw him. I was 14 and when i turned 18 his father gave me a letter he wrote me before he died. In the letter he said when we saw that star he wished for me to be happy and that he’d always loved me, i’m 19 now and everytime i see a shooting star it reminds me of him, like the star is his way of saying everything will turn out okay.

Me and my friend were walking home one time we both started talking about how we've never seen a shooting star an as we looked to the sky this really bright shooting star went right over our heads.

On the night of August 12-13, I saw 62 meteors in four hours. Such a satisfying experience.

I JUST saw my first shooting star in years, and I immediately searched this up. I wanted to make sure my eyes weren't playing any tricks on me because it was so fast and brief but nothing short of magnificent.

the fact that these are basically just meteors burning up in the atmosphere is, amazing.

I see this so many times, and a couple that I see are very bright and last long before they dissappear

I witnessed my first ever shooting star yesterday(aug 5th 2023 @ 3am), I got goosebumps, I knew shooting stars were amazing but witnessing them is a whole other level of amazement, it kinda reminded me of tinker bell and her pixie dust lol, it was truly magical, I hope everyone can witness at least one shooting star in their life♥I also love how almost all the comments are about stories of each person's experience🥹

I live in Aguascalientes Mexico and was driving home late one night a few weeks ago and I actually saw a meteorite. I was outside the city and it was very dark. The meteorite plunged straight down in front of me and hit the ground miles away out in the desert. It was one of the most dramatic things I've ever seen.

When I was a kid, my mom took my out to a field and we saw many shooting stars. At that time, I didn’t think much of them, only as what they were. Nothing but rocks that looked pretty cool… But just today, I was packing up my telescope and looked up at the stars one more time. I looked up just in time as I saw a meteor with a yellow tail cross for only a second. Even though I’ve seen one before, it was so beautiful that in that moment, I dropped everything I was holding and stood there in awe. Life, for a moment, didn’t feel real. My hands and feet felt light, and as if they weren’t there. My heart soared with joy, and I didn’t wanna leave, feeling as if it may come back again…

Imagine how far those meteors have travelled since this was filmed

Egypt Nov 2001. I was walking back to my hotel room and a meteor was so bright, so thick, like a light saber, horizontally it shot left to right for about 2 seconds. I had to stop in shock at how terrifyingly beautiful it was, and even more so that possibly no one else on the planet saw it.

I went to Alberta this summer and oh my god i literally never knew we could see the satellite moving with our own eyes + there were so many shooting stars in the span of an hour. We even got lucky enough to see the Aurora borealis :)

I have seen a green trail what I thought was a shooting star only for it to do a 90° turn & go back the way it came! Was the coolest thing I've seen above my house!

August 13th 2022, at around 2 in the morning in Belgium i saw a shooting star for the first time in my life, the full moon being brighter than ever made it even better, truly a beautiful spectacle. Now i can proudly say that i've witnessed a shooting star and a Lunar eclipse.

I’ve been camping for a week and the sky was painted with a display of breathtaking stars ( one of the most beautiful sights I’ve ever seen). Due to light pollution in most urban areas, shooting stars are Rare, but this experience was amazing. For the first time in my life I saw satellites 🛰, shooting stars/ meteors 💫, and many fantastic constellations such as the saucepan etc. If you haven’t been camping already, I highly recommend that you take the time to go when you have the chance, it’s a great way to escape from towns and cities and to be surrounded by the wonders of the world 🌍 ✨

Today i was listening to a song beside my window. When i opened my eyes suddenly i noticed a shooting star. 🌠 I became so excited. I called my friends and sisters at 2.30 am. I remember seeing this bright red shooting star that spanned the entirety of the sky of Oahu. I was walking by myself uphill in a valley and I was enjoying the view and this gorgeous star shined the entire valley, mind you this eas 2 maybe 3 in the morning where no one was up and I remember thinking my day was gonna start "meh" and I gotta say the heat the light rumbling in my body as it flew over left an impression that I should not be negative in my time here. Also I was in Vegas at a car show and everyone went quiet and I looked up and saw a cluster of debress in the sky lighting up I was scared but skeptical at the same time but was so beautiful. I've witnessed many meteorites /showers at the most random of times its scary or a message lol

I looooove seeing shooting stars when my suis dk and his mum and I just last saw the aurora in Thief River Falls Minnesota about 1 1/2 months ago it was right above us and like a K9 at our location... there was a beautifulllll shooting star!!! i was driving home one night from a friends house and i saw something glowing in the sky so i look up and i saw a meteor coming down and it broke into parts and lit up the sky, my jaw was dropped the whole way home and i cant stop thinking about it still it was so cool to watch

It was about 2 am in late July 2020 and the power went out. Me and 2 of my brothers decided to go outside to see why the power went out, and we could hear riots and crashes miles away. But we noticed that there were a lot more stars in the sky than usual and could definitely tell where the milky way was. (we live in a pretty big metro area so it was pretty faint) My 2 brothers were looking at a different direction and i chose to look at the opposite side, and i saw my first ever shooting star, it was really bright but didn't light up the sky that much. My brothers didn't believe me though

When I was a child I saw something fast thing across the sky i doubted that it was a shooting star because it is too fast and was gone after a blink of an eye but now after watching this video, Now I believe that, what I saw 12 years ago was really a Shooting star.

I’ve met people that have said they never seen one! I must of seen thousands here in Australia. From slow burning ones to ones that shoot from high to the horizon in a millisecond. Also seen full showers where there’s constant rain of meteorites for hours. You just got to watch the sky on clear nights away from light pollution.

I saw a shooting star on my birthday this year, it’s the closest I’ve ever seen one in my life. It was so bright! Like a firework.

I wanted to speak up on my experience seeing shooting stars, i remember 2023 i would wake up every morning at 3 am to go to work, cause i had to be there at 6am had no car but i had a scooter which i would walk with for 2 hrs cause the battery lasted about an hr and i was going through a life crisis i guess and i remember every morning i would see a shooting star and when i didn’t it was cloudy and there were times in the morning where i would look up to a specific spot in the sky where there would always be a shooting star, it came down to having to see maybe 2 in one day in less than an hr, btw i always made a wish and the last time i saw one i asked the universe to see another and this time ill just admire and not make a wish and what i saw was the most mesmerizing shooting star in the world that, it looked like it came from another city and flew across the sky like it waited patiently for me to look up i then realize at that moment that those forces god the universe whatever it is you believe in is always listening and is always with us and knows us like a true friend

Back in 2015, on the last week of high school. Me & a couple buddies drove up to a lake that was about an hour & a half away, it was about midnight once we finally get there, me & the other 2 decide to go put the boat on the water while the others stayed inside the camber. It was me & one other in the boat while the other backed it in. A few seconds later my friend in the boat goes “look, shooting star” I look at the shooting star & all you can see and is a huge rock on fire crumbling into pieces, we look back at each other in shock & look back at the meteor & it’s still going for a few extra seconds before it finally just disappears. That was probably one of the craziest things I’ve witnessed. I’ve seen him a few times after t that & I always bring that up

I saw shooting stars twice, first time I was on the roof and I was talking to God about my life that I wanna change everything and I told him God please I’m following the right path I’m with you I’m avoiding life scenes and bad things I’m doing on the grid and playing I am just close to you and I’m a great man again not doing anything bad please can you help me doing this and that because I really don’t hide anyway so when I looked at the sky I saw a shooting star and I did fell down seriously on my knees with tears of joy and I felt like god telling me he has a shooting star give me your wish list and I just gave him everything I want, after 20 days I went back on the roof to exercise then I just was watching Steve Harvey video,where he is talking about his past and that everything changed in his life because of God and when he said to God I will tell them that it’s your change in my life and actually this has happened to me too when I told him also that I got I will tell him that it’s your changed my life because that’s bless and literally in the video Steve just raised his hand and he said to the audience I just did this and I said to God take me you with me and show people what you do to a lost boy failed in school etc what do you do to him how he would change his life show them that God will change your whole life and make your wishes come true when you get closer to him and follow his right path , So I actually did exactly the same I did raise my hand and I told him God you did bless me as a Muslim and I started to pray and I got far from life and I am avoiding all kind of sense I’m just respecting you and loving you and I just want to be close to you and just live a normal good life and be good man again and I told him raising my hand I want you to do exactly the same since I do feel blessed to and I told him God I want you also to you with me and I want you also to show my surrounding how you change someone when you take him and I’m lost and I don’t really like the life I want I don’t really like the job I want I don’t really like the country I’m in I don’t like everything about my life right now and I really want you to help me and really want you to show them that you will change all my life just because I followed you my creator !! my boyfriend and i stayed at joshua tree a few weeks ago for a little hiking trip getaway. I fell asleep and woke up at 3am to find my boyfriend completely awake. he was having a hard time falling asleep. I asked him if he wanted to go stargazing outside. We laid in the hammock together with the harm breeze and the absolute silence of the desert. We looked up at the most beautiful night sky full of stars. I was filled with peace and awe- I love him more than I've ever loved anyone. And it was such a special moment in my life. It was just so simple and pure. Anyways- I hope others get to experience a magical moment under the stars too
