I love how much weight is behind Unity. It actually feels like you’re fighting soldiers for once instead of just cutting through a crowd. They block, they dodge, they stumble to keep themselves standing. It’s great.
@@marioalonzo1474 ac black flag best one I have beaten it 4 times n love roaming around every single time feeling like and actual assassin killing multiple enemies at once with style. That’s an assassin not no damn dark souls character. Also Batman games were phenomenal and love the multiple killing enemies at once with cool animations. It’s just my opinion that slicing and dicing I just play dark souls if I want a game like that or bloodbourne or scrolls something lol
@@marioalonzo1474you could counterkill if you have a good timing ( does not instant kill too strong enemies) , dodge to reach the enemie from the back then kill him, grab the weakest enemies then slit their throat, with bare hand, catch enemie's sword then kill him with it... Maybe few more things. In ac3-rogue you can use a tool to a finisher, a bit the same in syndicate I get what you said but that's just to say, i don't really enjoy a fight when you have to hit your opponent 200 times to kill him but rpg ac games are still really good for some things, at least we have a reason to go stealth to maximize damages and use environment more ( make enemies fall, use fire, etc...)
@@marioalonzo1474 That's a lie. I played AC2 last year. If all you did was smash the X button then you would get countered or knocked back or disarmed or attacked from behind once you start encountering the more difficult enemies, which happens after about 5-10 hours of game play.
@@marioalonzo1474 That's kinda what's fun about assassins creed's combat and honestly that's it's identity. it's a really absurd power fantasy where only enemies are the ones that die really quickly when you fight them and there's nothing wrong with that.
@@gabriel0742yeah, we could just attack them risking they dodge and counter attack or else, or go more strategic with the counterkill, etc... This old fight system was rezlly enjoyable
There no problem with souls combat. It just doesn't work in AC combat because all you do is facing human type enemies with little different moveset that became tedious. In soulsborne game there so many type enemy form humanoid to large enemys with their own moveset that you need to learn, that make the player always learn something new when encounter new enemy. To improve modern AC combat, is to remove stamina bar and Dodge but parrying still intact, if the player manage to parry it Will play special finishing animation. I
Syndicate still had good things ( using gun kn fights for cool animations, breaking guard of enemies, finishers with bone and articulation breaks, multi elimination, though animations were often cartoonish...) but i agree
Anything after Origins is when the combat went down hill, before it only took so many hits before a takedown would occur, now it’s just a pure button masher relying on gear statistics for how powerful your hits are before a takedown occurs.
Assasins creed 3, liberation and assasins creed 4 had the best combat. Combine all that combat together and you have perfection. I also like how ac 4 you can just fight with the blades by themselves Whoever thought ac 1 had good combat is smoking crack. It's not fluid. There's too much weapon bouncing
the sword fighting in this game really looks like everyone was telling them to make a game that was like the first game's combat style but they still had to somehow latch off of the popularity of souls-like game style so they just threw in a shitty knockoff of dark souls 1 combat
I’m my opinion: AC1 combat: 6/10 (I like it still though) AC2: 8/10 AC Brotherhood 9/10 AC Revelations 9/10 AC3 10/10 AC liberation 10/10 AC black flag 10/10 AC Freedom Cry 10/10 AC Rogue 10/10 AC Unity 10/10 AC Syndicate 7/10 AC origins 5/10 AC Oddessey 4/10 AC Valhalla 9/10 AC Jade 8/10 AC Mirage 5/10 (If anyone reads this Lemme know what yours are lol)
@@ShayPatrickCormac911 Unity had the best combat system. It's not as simple as in the previous parts and it's complicated enough that you have motivation for stealth. In general, it's balance + beautiful animations from ac3 and ac4. And also each weapon has its own fighting style.
@@ShayPatrickCormac911AC3/4 are literally the easiest games ever. If you can see the color yellow, you can't die I got like 77 kills in a row one day on AC3 at 12 years old. Just because I pressed circle when someone turned yellow
