Actually SB19 was formed in the system like those kpop group Long short story if you interested to know more: SB19 was formed by a Korean-Filipina based company with Korean CEO But they actually know each other before they got into that company, Stell was friend of Josh because they were on the same Kpop dance cover crew before, and Josh also a friend of Justin because they also ever did a kpop dance cover together that time, and Josh also a friend of Ken because Josh & Stell team was once in a same dance competition with Ken's team, and Ken admiring Josh and trying to start conversation with him, asking to train with Josh, but it was'nt possible because Ken actually comes from another province, they're far away but still in contact since then. Yes basically Josh is somewhat the connector of them in the first place haha he is a friend of everyone 😭, he is a friend of Stell, Ken, and Justin, but these three does'nt know each other that time 😅. Pablo, the long hair member, which later becomes the leader of SB19, is the only one who did'nt have connection with any of the members before they met in the company that formed them as a group. 1st audition, Stell, Josh, and Pablo made it and trained together under that company, then the company hired Justin without audition because the company interested in Justin's visual and want to train him to be better in singing and dancing. There were many trainee, but after a few years of training, one by one leave and left only Stell, Josh, Justin and Pablo. Then the company initiating to formed them as a group of 5, that's why they make the last audition to search one last member. That's when Ken join the audition, Josh was the one who informed him about the audition, Ken was contemplating because he really interested but did'nt have money and should risk his 3rd year of architecture in college, but then he decided to risk it all and Josh was the one who paid the flight for him that time. And yes he made it, he passed the audition to be the 5th member. But later they don't extend their contract with that company, because in the middle of their career, the first CEO of that company sold the company to another Korean CEO, and it went wrong for the boys, they got a lot of mistreatment under the new CEO, that's one of the biggest reason of their desire to free themselves. They're now build their own company, with Pablo as the CEO, they're under their own company 1Z Entertainment. They came from a very humble beginning, a lot of struggle, there are actually a lot of detail backstory of them as a group and as each person that cannot be all written here, but they are so open in a lotbof interviews and radio, so we got a lot of those information. If you interested to know more about their back story, I recommend you to check or even maybe react Cashual Chuck SB19 Story series (it has 1 - 5 episode + episode 0) for the group backstory, and the series of 'what nobody knows about (insert member name)' for each member's individual backstory. Cashual Chuck is a fan, he has amazing talent of making interesting summarize of their story, many reactors reacting to his videos.

Pablo being a gifted lyricist always loves to use word play and strong metaphors in his compositions. SB19 may have started before as previously trained by a Korean company, but they have since evolved and thankfully now self-managed. The man you called the "protagonist" is Pablo. He is the main rapper and the songwriter and producer of their songs. He is also their leader. He and the 2 others who you described as "reserved" usually sings the main melody but Pablo does most of the adlibs and blends between the high note/tone and low/tone note and mostly does the second voice parts of their songs. You can always hear him do amazing adlibs in the background when they sing.
