A walk-thru at the "New Dude" - Dudy Noble Field - at Mississippi State, during the final game of an SEC series. No cuts, no edits (except for the illustration at the beginning). *music* www.epidemicsou...
Impressive. Would live to visit. Can someone explain why and how Miss State became so good and committed to baseball? (Note: Bama fan here and our baseball stadium s_____s)
In my opinion it is because coach Ron Polk. He convinced MSU to invest in baseball back in the 1970s. In which State proceeded to go to 3 college world series. But I think what pushed State into an elite program was the 1985 season. The team was loaded with Will Clark, Raphael Palmeiro, Jeff Brantley, And Bobby Thigpen, whom all eventually would become MLB allstars later. Clark and Palmeiro were known as thunder and lightning. One is because they batted right next to each other. Second they hit a lot of homeruns. So after that season State has been in my opinion an elite program. Of course the fans have really contributed to the success of the program. I.e. left field lounge.
What's cool about the sec is that each school has one or more programs that is considered among the conference elite........ Well except auburn......roll tide! 😁
Matt what camera did you use to film this? I looked at a Removu K1 4K Gyro-Stabilized camera last year and considered purchasing one. Great video but now you have to do one at night. State should be hosting a regional and hopefully a Super Regional so you should have a few opportunities to make it happen.
