This is my 1 week keyboard and mouse progression in Fortnite! I have no prior kbm experience with any other FPS games. With Fortnite chapter 3 here I wanted to get good at kbm instead of using a controller.

Bro I promise you it might get annoying and frustrating and you feel like you can’t get any better but you do. As long as you practice. What got me better was playing infinite box fights and raiders piece control map. I started mouse and keyboard in August and I’m in division 10 now in arena. You’ll get there! 🙂

hey i’ve been playing kbm fortnite for roughly 9 months now i stopped playing for a bit but i’m back in pretty good at building and editing but my aiming is bad if im in a close box with someone i will most of the time lose. do you have any tips to get better at aiming i’ve tried aim courses and they havnt work lmk if you have any suggestions

@@kerrinharrison9463 most of the time if people struggle with up close aim it’s often because there sensitivity is too high. Try lowering it a bit and just keep practicing everyday in an aim course

for the new people that also play kbm,my best suggestion is that you set the pickaxe button to x,and the guns 1 2 3 4 5 and the edit button is e and the interaction button is f,it might seem hard at the start but it will be amazing in the end

If you keep doing what you're doing I promise you, you will get better the only thing I have to say is you might want to work on your aim / tracking using apps such as aim lab or even playing other games like csgo if you ever get a bit bored, it will help you a ton. I also started (seriously) like 2 months ago I was playing csgo before that lol and I have improved a lot using the exact same maps you have been using. Also one more thing you might want to lower your sens since I can see you're still a bit shaky. Can't wait to see how much you've improved in the upcoming months.

I’m really glad I was there during the times when nobody built, and when everyone was learning piece control, retakes and even just building. Because it wasn’t as hard for me to learn, because nobody knew how, it was an even matchup… New players today don’t get that because everyone is insane.. I just feel bad for them

I just started last week on kbm fortnite, this inspired me to keep playing. I always give up since my parents never let me play fps games growing up and I just recently started on my own. Fps games always make me kind of dizzy, and frustrated, bc you have to move fast, and have fast reaction time. Thanks for sharing your progress :)

honestly kbm might be the easiest thing to learn fortnite on. if you still get kinda frustrated it’s probably because you just haven’t found the right sens or even the right keybinds. it just takes practice and consistency so you got it :)

The reason i’m main-ing k&m (from controller) the first time I tried it, I was very fast at editing, like extremely fast with the help of scroll wheel reset. The problems were my aim (considering there’s no aim assist, and the sensitivity.) Also I was good at building but lacked instinct such as placing a wall if there’s an enemy in front of me. I’ve been trying to practicing building and combining it with my edits speed, like piece controlling. And i’m somewhat better with aiming. It’s my 2nd week doing this and have been experimenting with certain key binds. My first keybinds aside from the default ones were: F: Edit. Ramp is Mouse button 1. Wall is Mouse button 2, and cone is R. Left shift as floor.

A quick tip! If your holding out your wall in the builds and editing a wall, then you dont need to have your crosshair on the ”wall” you can have it anywhere on the ”walls hitbox”

I remember when I first started playing keyboard I just wanted to give up because it felt like I wasn’t progressing at all but eventually I got better and I’m in a place now where I know rotations and I know how to play box fights and zone wars/ late game it’s all just a mins game really if you have the determination then you will get really good at the game

@@chavez6417 Ducky 60% keyboard never get a full size keyboard unless you want oneand have the space for it. And a mouse that has thumb buttons mine has 2 because for fortnite you'd be pressing too many keys. Hope this helps :)

I recommend using Q as ur pick as an easy way to get out of edit mode cause it is right there and click the scroll button as 5 item slot
