I'm dutch and i never wear orange clothes... unless it's the European Cup or World Cup. But i think it'll stay in the wardrobe next year, the teams football is shit.

Holland against Germany is a very special game, but in our days the Rivalry is less than 30 years ago. both play in their neighbors league and in the older days it wasn't so commen at all .

You should also mention that the Dutch will claim himself the World Champion even before the first game starts. This is so weird because where other favorite countries, who even are way better then the Dutch will take it slow. The Dutch Orange fever will rise up as soon as they have been qualified. That is the main reason why the Dutch soccer team will never win the WC. The pressure is so big that they allready lost it before the tournement starts.

I am an outsider living in the netherlands, I LOVE the culture, the food, the people, BUT... 1: I hate football and parties/ feestjes.. and 2: I LOATHE the color orange.. I DESPISE it.. the other color I hate is PINK..
As 100% dutch I can confirm we are beyond insanity on Kingsday, new years eve and with sports and in general the Dutch soccer team.. The biggest party's I ever seen on this earth are the matches Holland against Ireland when a sea of Orange and Green party and drink in harmony together.. We are serious dedicated hard working people, but on those days we have no bounderies, laws, rules and are insane and dangerous, we go all the way.. You have been warned...

Seeing you are 'aronymous' (quick read looks like anonymous and that was intended I guess) it is easy to be offended.. and yeah the rats leave the sinking ship.. I made a great life here, as you are probably making a great life there.. so worldwide we are all on the move.. The difference is, that I became an Australian with the Australians ( with a Dutch accent and supporting Holland at Soccer). I (We Dutch ppl) dont force our customs, believes on the Australians, and we definitely leave our 'hatreds' at home. Sadly many (not ALL) of the people looking for a better life in the Netherlands, want to force Holland to become like their previous country.. Including the hatreds/wars etc they ran away from in the first place.
First we gonna have to qualify for the world cup. I dont think thats gonna happen. Otherwise its gonna be another fail of a tournament. Current european championship became better when they were eliminated..
