I’m surprised by all those problems, especially considering it’s a new vehicle and it has only been a year. And, that safety issue seems alarming. I’m heavily considering a 2024 Bronco. I’ve only had Toyota trucks and have never had any problems with anything. Just routine maintenance. Making the switch is a tough decision. I really love the Bronco; it’s what I really want. Thanks for the very informative video! Glad you love your Bronco!

Good news is its all stuff that can be easily fixed. And i believe that updated pcm/tcm flash is on everything newer than mine.

@@JustinKingOffroad Thanks for the info! I test drove one yesterday. It’s everything I’ve ever wanted, just without the t-shaped badge I’m used to 😉. It’s also nice, though, that it’s made in America.

Nice to hear your impressions. I have a ‘24 badlands Sasquatch scheduled for production next week. Excited to get it. I have a 2023 f250 and coming from a jt and a jlu rubicons both on 37s. Wife is a sales manager at a ford dealer so I couldn’t pass up the deal 😂

Thanks for posting that spreadsheet of clearances. That helps a lot as I research Jeep and Bronco. Also, nice to see your review from a Colorado trails perspective. Have a great 2024!

yeah those numbers were pretty important when i went from the jeep to the bronco. i didn't lose a bunch of front end clearance until the solid steel bumper and winch went on. basically bolted 200+ pounds to the front end.

FWIW, I'm over 26,000 miles in 13 months on my base Sasquatch. I have had zero issues. The dealership hasn't touched it. I change my own fluids and filters.

Love your reviews. I wanted a Gladiator SO bad, but it was just too uncomfortable. Of course the Wrangler was the same issue so I started looking at the Bronco. The 2 door Bronco is amazing (4 door B pillar jabs my shoulder so the 2 door was the better fit). I placed my order today for my Bronco :) Basically a 2 door version of yours in Blue

Thanks for the TSB info. My 23 does the same thing (surges on the 3-2 downshift). Is quite scary on a shelf road.

Great review, I like the Bronco but that's quite a number of quality issues in a year. I haven't had a single quality issue on my JTR in 2 years and lots of dirt. Or my previous F150 I had for 10 years. That throttle/shifting issue would be super dangerous on winter roads.

I chalk it up to brand new vehicle gremlins. Annoying yes, but all solved now.

Great video, as always. Couple questions: 1. How has your 30-min idle timer 'delete' been working out? I wouldn't mind following in your footsteps but don't want to accidentally remove the means to lock the vehicle with the keypad while it's idling...not sure if the police modes initially used to activate this would defeat this. 2. How's your Bronco from a body rigidity standpoint? Our '22 with 30k on it gets pretty flexy, especially at one railroad grade crossing near our home that likes to get it twisting like a pretzel. Ours is the only Bronco I've driven, so no idea if I was just blind to it before, or if it's a sign it's time to replace these OE Bilsteins.

@JustinKingOffroad 7 месяцев назад
Absolutely no issue with the idle timeout defeated. Itll idle all day and all functions work as expected. Ive seen others mention this too but im simply not having that issue. As for the flexy body, i do notice the hard top makes a lot of noise as you float tires over obstacles, but my jeeps did that too. I think the bronco does it more because of the rear passenger hard top panels being removable too.

@@JustinKingOffroad I totally get why it does, especially since there's no crossbar at the B-pillar like there is on the Jeep, but I can't tell if it's more now, or if I'm only just now getting around to noticing (and being bothered by) it. I'll have to give the timer d/c a try. Thanks!

@@etmccaus yeah i added a b pilar cross brace with the jcr overhead panel.

what about the dreaded tie rod problem i hear about
@JustinKingOffroad
@JustinKingOffroad 7 месяцев назад
I'm not overly worried about it. Lots of people running 37s that aren't breaking them.
@DependableAutoTruck
@DependableAutoTruck 7 месяцев назад
didn't know had seen some posted on other channels i live in Alabama have a 1994 ram 2500 4wd 5 spd i can go anywhere i have needed to so far on 31s and haven't had any problems have thought about going to 33s but unless i start going to places i have problems will keep what i have i have a small boom for lifting with a 12,000 apex and a warn 8274 for front pull and another 8274 for rear pull and 2 warn 8000 for left and right side pull between cab and rear wheels usually with that combo can get out or help get most out without any problems.@@JustinKingOffroad

Especially if you're getting bigger tires, if you're still running factory steering hardware, you'll very probably want to get beefier steering parts. Broken tie rods, which Broncos are kind of famous for, suck.
@JustinKingOffroad
@JustinKingOffroad 7 месяцев назад
That is certainly in the back of my mind. However, i have spare inner tie rod ends since that is what seems to break. Im more concerned about moving the failure into the rack. Would rather keep it at the exposed tie rod components.

What chains do you use
@JustinKingOffroad
@JustinKingOffroad 7 месяцев назад
I usually run V-bar for the rear axles of both my truck and bronco. on the front axle I don't chain up unless totally needed but a standard chain gives a bit more room up there.
