Great video man, and I needed this because I was curious. My insurance on this is around £3.8k, (a 2011 V10 is £2.3k), I paid £2.1k for the TT after passing my test last july so I'm used to that pain haha but this means I'll probably find myself going for 1st gen V8 or V10 especially for the manual.

Great vid bro, I've been looking at R8s and I want to add one to the garage but I don't know if I can stomach the tax, I got so used to cars that avoid it that £600+ a year is brutal. For context one loophole is American cars, I daily a c6 corvette down in the south of the UK and it only costs £500 to insure a year fully comp, £290 a year tax (all American cars are the same low tax regardless of engine size) and it's ULEZ compliant (ik, stupid given it's a 6 litre V8 lol). So now when I look at other cars to add to the garage it's like a huge kick in the balls! I don't know if you have found this or maybe it's just me but insurance on exotic cars is actually cheaper than "normal" cars in a lot of cases. An R8 for me is about £700-£800pa to insure but a golf R for example is like £3k or even something grim like an evoque is £1500. The man maths is saying to only buy exotic cars make it make sense.

Iv got a3 tdi and pay 100 tax every 6 month but i do alot of miles i got mine with 65k on had the car 4 years now has 132k on i put around 300 a month in fuel and insurance is 43.52 what exhaust you running on that sounds epic
