The coloring re-textures in this video can be found in my textures patch here for everyone to enjoy! :) • Zatch Bell! English Ga...
Zatch and Kiyo struggle to make sense of Zatch's mysterious red book that seems to be the key to his otherworldly powers, until they run into a foreboding character and his wealthy human partner. As the two explain the situation amid a challenging first battle, Kiyo has a decision to make... either drop Zatch from his life for good, or help him compete in a battle royale against dozens of other powerful children just like him all around the world!
NOTE:
You don't need to win these battles on the Hard difficulty setting. In fact, it seems that changing the difficulty will not affect the story mode CPU difficulty at all.
CLEAR CONDITIONS:
Follow these steps on the map for the first half of Zatch's Story Mode to get the most accurate representation of chronological order for the story's levels as possible:
1. River Bed - Fight Brago & Sherry
2. Park - Fight Tia & Megumi
3. Store - Fight Kanchomé & Folgore
4. Castle - Collect 10 points
5. Fairywoods - Fight Ponygon
6. London Suburbs - Fight Kanchomé & Folgore again
More specific tips for playing as Zatch & Kiyo are in the comments section below!

one of the things that's very cool about this game is that, you can get your and your opponent's ultimate spells to clash which is very epic

Absolutely! Mamodo Battles and the other versions of it are the only Zatch Bell games for console that let you do that. You can also clash ultimate spells in Electric Arena 2 (Yuujou no Zakeru 2) for the GBA.

@@aipomsonito33 Thank you so much for saying so, I'm always thrilled when I see people enjoy my Zatch Bell passion projects! :D My current schedule is to have a new video uploaded every Friday, 12pm EST. The videos alternate between my other Zatch Bell walkthroughs, and the next one for this upcoming Friday is Friendship Tag Battle 2! If for whatever reason I miss the deadline and the video doesn't get uploaded on Friday, it will be uploaded as soon as I finish it, and on the following Friday, I'll upload the next video after that one as scheduled.

XZatchBellGamerX So, uh... Can you upload the lose scenes of Zatch bell Mamodo Battles while you’re at it?

And we started with the series that will probably be my favorite (along with the Japanese version)! And wow, very hard, X? This is going to be more intense than I thought! Your fighting style also surprised me, you use all the spells in battle, unlike most gameplays on RU-vid, where they only use Partner Attack and Baou Zakeruga, and watching your fighting style is much more fun! I believe it is a series that will give you more rest since you don't need to subtitle anything, it is playing and enjoying haha, but I think that still editing all "game over" should still be laborious 😅, and these graphics, simply spectacular! Anyway, a question, in the next video, will it include the fight with Powered Up Kido? Anyway, I look forward to the next episodes here, on the best Zatch Bell channel of all time!

Hey, man! Thank you so much for all this thoughtful feedback and praise, as always! :D I really appreciate you noticing that I do my best not to spam moves to win a fight. Instead, I try to show everything that the characters can do for the most entertaining experience possible while playing the game the way it was meant to be played. You're completely right that this playthrough is the easiest one to edit (along with Mamodo Fury, but Mamodo Fury is harder to get the footage for since it demands that I make the fight interesting AND get an A rank at the end). However, for my version of Mamodo Battles, it has this weird habit of cutting off the voice clip during cut scenes at random times, so I've had to re-record those cut scenes over and over again until I got it to play all the way through. Then I just splice them onto the video! lol As for Powered Up Kido, my first run through of Story Mode doesn't include that. I plan to make 2 separate videos after completing the stories that shows where all the Powered Up characters are and the fights where I unlock them. Keeps things consistent and organized imo. Look forward to the Japanese Mamodo Battles next time! It's one long video and since the CPU is harder in that game's story mode, the fights are much more satisfying to watch than they are in this video! ;)

Tips: These first levels aren't particularly difficult, but if you want the best performance possible with Zatch & Kiyo, try following these battle tips! - Zatch's melee combo string leaves him more open than most. Try to only press the button 3 times instead of finishing off with the headbutt. This will give you the ability to either finish off the combo with a *Zaker* attack, a partner attack, or you can even choose to back off and get some distance in case the opponent tries to retaliate. - Zatch & Kiyo's partner attack is pretty balanced. The higher you knock up an opponent in the air, the more likely they are to recover and fire a basic spell at you as a counterattack. But if you press the button 3 times instead, you can follow-up with a *Zaker* attack instead of the final punch! You'll want to use this partner attack particularly when the opponent has barely any Heart Energy left on their gauge so that they'll be forced to take it head-on. - Keep an eye on your Heart Energy and try to make sure you always have enough to cast a single *Rashield* spell, especially if the opponent has enough Heart Energy to cast their aerial spell. A shield spell is the only thing that can stop an aerial spell since you can't dodge or block it any other way! - Try to make it a habit to only defend with *Rashield* against aerial attacks and low-level projectile spells. The opponent's first spell will be reflected back at them (except for Bari), which uses *Rashield* at its maximum potential. To deal with stronger projectile spells, move up or down with the control stick (or the D-pad) to sidestep out of the way. Not only will you come out unscathed, you'll also recover a bit of Heart Energy in the process! - Zatch is able to cast a secret 7th spell in his arsenal that his technique chart won't reveal to you. To do this, quickly tilt the control stick up, spin it around all the way around, and end it pointing toward the direction of the opponent... then press the spell button. Try this enough times and you'll get the hang of it! It's a ball of light that moves faster than *Jikerdor* and will buff your next attack once the opponent absorbs its electricity on their body. You can stack *Zaguruzemu* up to five times to multiply your damage output! But be careful, because if you punch or parry the opponent, the stored electricity will disappear. - A common tactic most Zatch players like to play with is casting *Jikerdor* on the opponent, and then firing a *Zakeruga* at them while they're stunned. You can take this a step further and instead cast *Jikerdor,* followed by *Zaguruzemu,* followed by *Zakeruga* if you've mastered the art of casting Zatch's *Zaguruzemu* spell! - When the opponent is low on health, Zatch's *Rauzaruk* is your best bet. It's a high-risk, high-reward last resort that makes Zatch unflinchable as he pummels the opponent with unblockable, electrically charged punches. But if you don't finish the battle within a few seconds, the *Rauzaruk* will wear off and you'll be left completely vulnerable for about 4 seconds! - Zatch's aerial attack is a *Zaker* blast, but unlike most aerial spells, this one will completely miss the opponent if you fire it while they're about to get back on their feet. It's easier to catch the opponent during recovery with a basic *Zaker* attack than it is with the aerial *Zaker,* so keep that in mind! - Zatch's melee counterattack will absorb the opponent's spell and then punch them with the same punch he uses for *Rauzaruk.* It's a pretty darn good counter, but it can be pretty nerve-wracking to try and press forward + Y at an opponent's point-blank spell until you've had a bit of practice. - Zatch's spell counterattack has him side-step a projectile and immediately fire back with a *Zakeruga* beam. Remember that counterattacks like these will make it harder to recover your Heart Energy, so use them sparingly... the closer you are to the opponent before you counter, the more likely your attack won't go to waste! - Zatch's strongest spell is *Bao Zakeruga,* a gigantic lightning dragon, and it's every bit as powerful as you'd expect! You can even buff the power of *Bao Zakeruga* if you launch it on an opponent who has *Zaguruzemu* electricity stored in their body! *FIGHTING BRAGO* - Level 1 Brago is barely a challenge. He will very rarely dodge your attacks, will almost never block an aerial *Zaker,* and there's about a 20% chance he'll cast his strongest spell against you. This is a CPU difficulty that's designed to get you accustomed to the controls, so don't fight too hard or this battle will be over before you know it! *FIGHTING TIA* - You'll find that Level 2 Tia will defend against attack spells much more than Brago did, but her offense leaves a lot to be desired. Because of this, and the fact that she likes to reflect projectiles back at you with *Giga La Seoshi,* *Rauzaruk* is your best bet for this fight. She's likely to use her strongest spell against you. You should fire yours as well to initiate a clash and finish her off if you haven't already with your *Rauzaruk* spell! *FIGHTING KANCHOMÉ* - Level 3 Kanchomé will fall for most of your attacks, but he's not afraid to send Folgore after you with a partner attack that seems to go on forever. Remember, when he turns into a cannon, cast your spells... when he turns into Kiyo, use close combat striking attacks. He'll be down and out in no time. *FIGHTING PONYGON* - Ponygon in this game is very difficult to win with since he has no spell moves, so his CPU difficulty is a little harder than the previous levels for that reason. He'll dodge and block your spells, and he's a pretty crafty fighter... Watch out for his "partner attack" especially. It's a charged melee move that tries to juggle you in the air with powerful strikes. Other than that, he's not really a threat and you shouldn't have much trouble taking him down. *FIGHTING KANCHOMÉ (again)* - This fight is really no different than it was in level 3. They didn't learn any new tricks, except possibly being more likely to use the aerial spell (which turns Kanchomé into a paper airplane that carries Folgore with him to simulate flight). Just stick to your aerial *Zaker* attacks and remember to cast spells against the cannon and beat the heck out of the fake Kiyo. If he uses *Koporuk* or transforms into a white spot on the ground, stay far away until his Heart Energy runs out or he reverts back to normal.
