FILM DESCRIPTION:
A young outcast from a primitive tribe is forced to defend his people from a brutal onslaught in Independence Day director Roland Emmerich's fast-paced period adventure. Despite the fact that he is low man on the totem pole in his tribe of fearless hunters, a brave young boy (Steven Strait) longs to win the heart of a beautiful princess (Camilla Belle) who is well above his station in life. When an overwhelming horde of powerful invaders forces the hunters into slavery and abducts the princess, the once-aimless boy suddenly finds his destiny taking an unexpected turn. Now, if he has any hope of saving his tribe from certain extinction, this young boy will have to fight for the future to his dying breath.

The best part about terror birds? They're literally theropod dinosaurs that reclaimed their role of top predator in a post-extinction world now overrun by mammals. That's just so metal.

Seeing this scene as a kid resulted in terror birds being one of my favorite animals of their time period, partly because of how out of place they are compared to the other animals of the time. While most of the world's predators where mammals then, a steroided up ostrich ended up around the top for a bit.

They shouldn't be in ANY move with humans because humans and terror birds never co-existed.
@Tarbtano
@Tarbtano 8 лет назад
Areus White Actually that is debatable given man's entry to the New World keeps getting pushed further and further back as it becomes clear the Clovis culture wasn't the first one present in the Americas. Additionally further evidence from Florida and Paraguay show Phorusrhacids surviving much later than previously thought. Also this movie has mammoths being used as beasts of burden to build pyramids. We're not exactly staying strictly accurate here.

Ty J They aren't. Or at least not as much as scaled ones. It's comical to me seeing a literal giant duck with teeth. Yes, they honked and quacked. No more badass roaring of any sorts. Dinosaurs have become a joke, as they were back when they were thought to be stupid and slow moving. No matter how many times I hear doctor grants speech to the kid in Jurassic Park, I'm still going to look at a Utahraptor like a 6 foot turkey with teeth as it's eating me alive and I'll be laughing at the ridiculousness. As a certain character from a certain Gamera movie laughed in the face of death and a certain asshole character in a bad Zombie movie said: "Choke on em!"
@miksmerc
@miksmerc 7 лет назад
DystrVctionシンゴジラ They still are scary. And they'd probably still produce "roaring" noises, only they'd do it "without roaring", if that makes sense. Kinda like alligators or even some birds, which can produce loud sounds, without even opening their mouths

Sure, you can make drama without changing the historical (Pre-historical, in this case) facts, and I would love to see more of that, but you can hardly turn that into a blockbuster.
