Oma Gosh, ol Betsy is going to straight slappp 👋 🔊 👋 Can’t wait to see the finishing prod, been watching for almost a year and learned a lot! Enter me in for tht orange speaker boih!!!
Man I never heard two 15 sound like that all these ppl leaving stupid comments about bigger screws and more glue they need to hear your system it is stupid awesome to see it is person
I like to pick up my nuts and bolts at a local independent hardware store. It's more expensive but the customer service is better and always walk out with exactly what I need.
People do not realize The damage that a subwoofer box will cause during a bad accident. Thank you for taking the time to explain, to the young viewers.
Looks great man, thanks for taking us along for the ride. For a newbee like myself it’s great to see you work this out and i see that I can do this. Very encouraging
I’m sure you thought of this, but for those watching, make sure you account for port clearance. I have directly experienced some notable changes in output when the port was choked against the interior vs had a port width of clearance to breathe.
I think your box needs bracing. Those single layered sides are going to flex and reduce the output you would otherwise have. My guess is that you could go back and insert some bracing through the woofer holes and hammer them into place, glue and screw. Might be interesting to test this theory by measuring output without bracing, and then bracing and retesting.
I set the blade of my table saw at 45 degrees and run a 2x4 thru it, knocking the corners off. Then you have 8ft long 45's you can use in the corners for braces. Then you square up the 2x4 again and now you can use it for braces for baffle flex.
Oh man, wow! Now it getting real. Cool box and great idea on the safety bolts. Sound deadening all 4 doors made a huge difference in my truck. I imagine you’re about to locate some rattles baha. Super cool, love the daily build vids!!! 🤟🤟👍🏻
Won't that port be obstructed when the rear door is closed. Even if there is some space, you need more than just a few inches for the air to flow freely.
Fantastic job! Love the way you secured the box to the cab. Super safe! There ain't no way you're doing all this while working your other job. Must be using some of that accrued vacation time. Good on you!
im excited to parker like its my build and often times than not simple is the way to go i learned that from my son when building my sytem and its been solid so far so good
Another great video, love the daily uploads. I'm actually doing a build in my car right now as well but that takes a bit longer, but I'm not in a Rush so I got time to watch your progress which is real fun and also motivational
I love the way this is coming together, don't you love when things work out perfectly like that box sliding right in. awesome man.. I've waited since January for my sub from psi but this is giving me more inspiration to get off my ass and get my box built for that thing lol. maybe send some pics to David over there and give him some inspiration to build my sub lol
Loving this series ! Quick and fun 8-9 min videos but def has me wanting more afterwards so I head over to big d wiz page lol. Keep up the amazing work , after gotta go back to cheap sub blow ups!! Please lol
When ya put your box back to the box of the truck use alittle foam on that cross member or a strip of deadner to box to. Also I would have used a inverse ring for your woofer surround to sit in the box a cleaner look takes a second and makes your subs more stable when they are inset.
Right. Left. Up. Down. Whatever makes you happy about it is all that matter my guy everyone has a taste of their own either way this is coming together better than how my ride was looking it's been sitting for months now wanting to be fixed but it can wait 🤣
@@ParkerTheBasshead I know you've already tested it, going to see in tomorrows video, but in your opinion do you have enough space between the port and door for good loading? Just seemed really close. I've tried subs up port up, subs forward port up and subs forward port forward. If you get good results, maybe I'll try to port out the side next. Same truck by the way, only mine has the 7.3 not the 6.0
some guys would just slide in that box and leave it . great that u bolted it down , abc rule always be careful👍... cant wait to see those monsters on the box
Great build. Just a little helping hand where are you secured the bolts with the box to the back of the truck instead of washers why not use rubber. It could help with some of the rattling.
awesome setup, i've looked on youtube and IG and don't see any info about a car audio show. can you link the info? lol also i think we have all been there putting a box in somewhere by ourselves. thumbs up!
