Budget Build with 8 15" SUBS Part 8 

The video may be short but we all know this is hours worth of labor, great job bro 👊

As an amp repair guy and a good friend of a Taramps repair tech in states, put something in between the amps and the box. At least some ( edit: thicker ) washers and rubber grommets to help with the transfer of vibration. Depending on the year of the amps you have, some main components inside are subjected to vibration damage prematurely. Just in case, If you’re comfortable, pull the cover and check for anything loose just to be sure. Just in case. Also, you got to get better with reinforcing your enclosures when going big like this.

Hey parker, just make sure the seatbelt clip doesn't hit the power inputs on the amps. Look really close. If driving it could swing over and hit it.

in my day, yes I'm old school lol... we used to just use our drill batteries and take the hot and minus from the battery to the subwoofer interconnect and it would not only let us know the connection worked, but also polarity check. great set of videos for this project, i know you can't wait to finish this one and hear it all together.

Amp companys need to have a option to have the logo moveable to the left or right position so things are upright logo wise. Nice build!

you can test for rubbing and non-connects with a simple 9v battery. Yes, it will have enough to move them up and down to listen for scratching or rubbing.

Pruning shears , for fast easy clean cuts on big fine stranded wires , also good for striping , with practice and skill

Yes, if the box is sturdy enough? It is safe to mount an amp on a box but most boxes are not braced and flexing of those baffles will shake the amp apart.

Man it's looking really good Parker I love how you take your own routes and what's comfortable for you only . Family got a Lil sick so wasn't on stand by for the uploads but they were sure on my mind while taking care of the fam.

I actually grabbed those washers to mount my amps myself.(the exact same ones. Lol) Going to double them up to give it a little more cushion.

Hey man. Just a suggestion. I always use a good quality sleeving (TechFlex) on all my wires even RCA's. Especially anything hooked to my headway bank.

Add round over to top of port. At least router round over or a PVC pipe like Jacob Viral II has done. It helps dB. Make sure the port is aiming at a solid hard surface like marine board or similar and preferably have the board angled upwards so it's not reflecting the sound waves directly back into port imo. Seal up holes and gaps throughout interior such as passenger side floor blower vents. (Since that's where you dB test).

Looks good man! Now for the mounting amps box, not a big deal. Usually i say that when using cheap prefab boxes or boxes made thinner material in general, but i think that is completely fine. That box looks solid, so i don't see any issue's with it.

Oh 1 more thing. Again just a suggestion. I have a large headway bank too. And got into a car accident. 55 to zero (ups truck pulled out and I hit it so hard) Lucky I went overkill on the brackets I made to secure the bank to my cars frame. Bc the weight of the bank + the impact of an accident still bent my thick ass brackets. Just screws will rip out man. God forbid you were in an accident the last thing you'd want is a lithium bank taking flight and possibly catching fire.

I'd consider ziptying those rear seat belt buckles away from the inputs of those amps. If the metal portion bounces into them that'll be bad news.

Anyone have any ideas how to stop window rattle? I've tried everything I can think of (including dynamatting the doors heavily and tightening bolts) driving me crazy. If I crack the front windows about an inch it completely stops. clapped out 07 toyota camry.

You should check out ampere audio 3.0 subs and encore subs they are similar to sundown zv6s and nightshade, but a bit cheaper. And if you can find a 4.0 sub the easily handle 4k rms. I'm friends with one of the owners and they are awesome.

You might wanna wrap up you power and grounds going in the amp with electrical tape or put a non conductive spacer so it wont rattle loose and ground out js

I wouldn't think it would slid around normally but if you get into a crash that sucker is gonna be smashing some lith batteries and you know what that means!!! Fire!!! 😂

Be careful not to arc out your amps with that seat belt being metal and so close to your negative and positive wires on your amp. Wrap electrical tap to your seat belts to prevent it from touching 💯

Are you going to put a dc to dc charger inline to limit amperage from alternator? Also dc to dc charger can be set to charge lifepo4 at correct voltage.
