I could watch it a hundred times and NEVER get tired of it. The game is essentially over, they're in Ann Arbor, we're undefeated and they're about to beat us, it's Harbaugh's first game in the rivalry, there's a hundred thousand Michigan fans already gloating in the stands, it's on national television, and they manage to lose in the last ten seconds. For me? It's probably the greatest ten seconds of sports I'll ever watch.
I lost my voice from screaming!! My UM friend was over for a sleepover and he didn't say a wore for a half hour. I remember sitting on my couch in the basement and kind of feeling like I had a fever and then I was high giving my mom dad brother and sister and running outside at night screaming as loud as I could!!
I got a shirt for Christmas that says: Down 2, 10 Seconds left, 0.2% chance for us to win, and it's not over till we say it's over, (there's a spartan logo at the bottom)
At least we get "shellacked" in the PLAYOFF not against Ohio State, a team that we beat away, at your out house. Not to mention you guys were the team that lost to the team that Alabama crushed. If you guys had the chance to play Bama, you'd get ten times more destroyed than we did. If we played in the Hotdog bowl like you skunkbears did, we would beat Florida by way more points than you did guaranteed.
I remember, I was at Ohio State’s game that evening and as soon as the play happened, the showed it on the big screen and every single one of us cheered
It's amazing on plays like this how many things have to go wrong in the exact precise order to let a miracle occur: bad snap, bad handling of bad snap, poor blocking, poor attempt to keep trying to kick, ball goes straight to player already running in the right direction, squadron of blockers, just enough time, Butt gets there a split second too late, Butt fails to knock ball out, knee down just inside the end zone, etc. All the cosmic tumblers clicked into place for MSU here. Karma is a b1tch, Michigan.
Not really. This was on harbaugh. Look at the formations. MSU rushed 11 they weren't looking to return it. Harbaugh didn't line everyone up on the line he had guys out to chase the punt.
+nickmordo Really wish he'd had the fortitude to stick around for a post-game reaction shot, but he said himself he took off up the tunnel as MSU scored.
Glad you enjoyed it. That was your national championship and little brother has been a joke ever since. That’s what’s really “priceless”. Michigan has actually won a National championship and we’re loving every second of it.
Even when we had our worst year under Dantonio and Michigan had its best team in a very long time with a lot of seniors, they still couldn't make it. And then lost their bowl game for good measure
"genuine confidence not a false bravado" what the heck kind of statement is at and Desmond Howard thumbs up ...remember the old saying Yogi Berra said.."it ain't over till it's over"
I was 27 when this happened and highly doubt I'll experience a single more satisfying play in my lifetime. I just don't see how it's possible. It will never get old.
I’m here 6 years later. Both teams are currently 5-0. They both have a very good chance to be in the top ten when they play against eachother. This game coming up could be just like this one
It just NEVER gets old! Before every subsequent meeting between the two teams, I tell my Mich-loving friends "No matter what happens today, always remember the end of the 2015 game"!
Thanks Andy. Any time i get a little down, I just watch this! Mega props to special teams for never giving up, going full throttle, working as a team. EPIC!!
“Woah he has trouble with the snap! And the ball is free! It’s picked up by Michigan State’s Jalen Watts Jackson, and he’ll SCORE! On the last play of the game! UNBELIEVABLE!!!!” Gotta be one of the best ever calls on CFB history- from an Iowa fan.
And just like that, Jalen Watts-Jackson becomes a legend in East Lansing. This has to be one of the most incredible endings to a college football game.
Jalen Watts Jackson will forever live in Spartan lore. The hip will heal, but the pain he caused Harbaugh and the Wolverines will last for years to come.
I love watching this because i think it adds weight to the final play to see how everything unfolded throughout the entire game. Was a great game overall.
They got creamed. How was yours? Oh yeah thats right.... you played an atrocious Florida team. Good job. Dantonio 1 Harbaugh 0 losing the playoff game does nothing to effect that little stat.
+Andy Geahan blah, blah. We were 10-3, WON A BOWL GAME, played a HARD schedule, have a PRO coach, who coached the SUPER BOWL, and had an EPIC comeback season.
+Max Baum Blah blah blah, where is your conference title since the championship game implemented? Oh yeah, you've won 0. How did your messiah do against the good teams in the east? Oh yeah, 0-2. Sure, Michigan had a good season, but MSU had a better one! hahaha. It's so funny to me that people talk trash when their team was the inferior one! All you have is how was your playoff game! Well, how was Michigan's idiot? Oh that's right, they weren't good enough. Win something first, then talk. This is why you idiots cling to the past like a little baby clinging to its mommy's leg. Get a life? You're on an MSU RU-vid page you special, special little guy. You should probably learn how to watch and comprehend sports to avoid looking like the typical butt hurt and insecure Michigan fan. Hahaha only UM fans man. Bragging about everything except beating MSU. We know ya STILL can't brag about that.
MichiganYankees Gaming did u guys go to the playoff at least? None of the Michigan players beat osu. Btw, when was the last time you went to the playoffs? NONE OF YOUR PLAYERS WERE EVEN BORN DUMBASS
The 4 Turtles (Leonardo, Donatello, Michaelangelo, and Raphael) used the following catchphrase during the old school animated series from 1987 to 1996, yet I use it to cheer on and represent our MSU Spartans.... Go Green Machines!!!!
I remember being in a moonraker, about giving up as it seemed msu was going to lose to them for the first time in several years. And then all of a sudden I'm cheering for this guy to run and just being so happy that we somehow, somehow actually won.
So MSU fan here. This was a great win, but I remember having to pay $50 for PPV to watch U of M beat MSU in the first 5 minutes of the game. At the end of the day I love my state and honestly I cannot believe I have had the privilege of watching these two teams play against each other. MSU vs U of M are level 54 every time!
I love watching this, as a Penn State fan! ALL he had to do is catch the hike, run backwards, and fall down at the 2 yard line. #12 will never hear the end of it, from Wolverines fans.
Exactly! At my school in 2015, those douchebags kept saying "oh we're gonna win!!" "State sucks!" I laughed when I went to school on Monday the next day
This is entertaining as is for a state fan... but this in particular... was even more amazing cuz of the gloating already claiming a win michigan fans. which should NEVER FORGET state has an amazing special teams. Making more plays then any other usual spec team. Plus bein a more last minute (or seconds here with this for the pun lol) team makin amazing plays late in games. I was in Ann Arbor at the hooters. State fan... with my bestie an his brother an theres michigan fans. Chairs were flying there fr. AND then i lost him for like 2 hrs. Then was stuck in traffic for another 1.5 before finally being able to get on hwy headin back to Lansing. Crazy atmosphere that night in Ann Arbor. 10 seconds. .and don't get started on states basketball team. shiiit 2 left seconds is game changing with them. The guys all play with hearts. Luck? NOT so much luck (albeit a little as per with everything) but determination an not giving up is what makes this stuff possible. (and any true state fan knows state can be ranked #1-2 .. and still play at level or lose to an unranked team. ) This is why Spartan fans never stop being fans...even across the world. Spartans! Go Green Go White. 2017 yr 2 with the newbs goin farther then 2016. Woop.
All those Wolverine fans booing the Spartans about a minute in had no idea that they were about to eat every single one of those "boo's" at the very last second of the game
The irony of this game, here's the rushing totals: Michigan 62, MSU 58. Average rush between the two teams: 1.8 yds/carry. NOT a typical Rivalry game between these two teams!!
Coaching staff taking over...there'll be a new approach to reinstate yet.they need to Retain that Dantonio style physicality balls out all out toughness in order to step up and get after I'M others in league play obviously be good to see things develop this fall
I remember watching this at a local resturaunt and having a legit out of body experience when he fumbled the snap and almost standing on my table out of excitment when they're running it back for the touchdown
I also can watch this over and over again. While I actually like Harbaugh, I have to say this exemplifies why he is not a great coach. He can run a good defense, a good offense, but details that stitch the entire game together are missing. MSU did not send a man deep, yet the Michigan players were blocking and releasing to get down field. The wide guys remained wide. Only four interior linemen made contact with a white jersey, leaving three upbacks to block 8 jerseys. That left FIVE Wolverines out of the play watching the punter bobble the ball. Had they remained in the play, they could have stopped the touchdown and still won the game. There were five white jerseys blocking three wolverines. As a HIGHSCHOOL player, we would have been told "DON'T RELEASE down field until the ball is kicked. The wide men would have been brought in and our splits would have been reduced.
The play that symbolized Harbaugh's career. Coming so close, getting high on the snark, then get hammered with reality and an L. It's the greatest play in CFP history.
Love the play, love this game. Am I crazy, but does it look like the instant he crosses the goal line on the last play, the clock reads :01 second? Also, pretty shoddy blocking job by MSU with 4 guys there to let Jake Butt bust Watts-Jackson's hip.
