A collection of the 50 most important and memorable plays made by the Michigan State Spartans against the Michigan Wolverines in all MSU victories in the rivalry from 1978-2021. It will never be over. It's just starting.
The best thing about "Trouble with the Snap," is that it wouldn't have happened if the refs hadn't given Michigan a TD they didn't earn earlier in the game. Michigan State would have just knelt the ball for another in a series of easy wins 21-19, but instead we get the best ending of all time. Go Green!
"HE DROPPED IT" 1990 the first MSU UM game I've seen live yeah I don't remember it now since I was really young but that type of performance is what we need this Saturday GO GREEN 💚
I am a 1980 grad. So I am old enough to have been at that 1978 game where Lonnie Middleton took the wide open swing pass into the end zone. And yes I was there. I was at most of these games having had seasons for 40 straight years, and also finding a way to get tickets for the games in Ann Arbor for many years. There are some absolutely fabulous memories wrapped up in these clips. I passed this around to about 6 people who will get the same thrills from this that I did. Great job MSU Andy. You made an old alum happy.
Watched the 1978 replay. Bo and Roger's got along well actually from my understanding (none of today's toxic behavior). If that wasn't the case State could have easily scored another TD in the final minute from the UM 5. Awesome team and performance.
Awesome video!!! The Thorne pass to Reed on 4th and 4 down 16 is underrated, that play kept MSU in the game - it was over if they didn’t convert. (Also, one editing issue: trouble w/the snap was 2015 not 2005)
watched “trouble with the snap” live with my family when i was little and ill never forget how glued to our seats we were and then everyone exploded in joy craziest sports moment ive ever seen live
Actually that was State fans since that game was the #1 vs No One game where Michigan State went into Ann Arbor and beat #1 Michigan 28-27 and after the game the entire visitor section stormed the field
My personal list before watching 10 Cook TD before end of half in 2013 (Highly underrated in my eyes) 9 Baker Long TD 2010 8 K9 5th TD 7 Javon Ringer Long TD 2008 6 Larry Caper OT 2009 5 Duckett 2001 4 Najeah Carter 3 Isaiah Lewis Pick 6 vs Denard 2 K9 58 Yards last year 1 Trouble with the snap
What a great video. Hopefully we can add some highlights from this year to that video as well. We'll have to pull off some "No. 1 vs No one" type of game for it to happen though.
I'm just glad I'm a member of a fan base that never complains about the officials, the weather, the time keeper, the punter, the official spot, the full moon, or Eddie Brown. Go Green.
Mel Tucker, after securing a contract extension worth 9 mil a year after only his first full season in East Lansing and he is now 3-5 and has given the um back the Paul Bunyan trophy. Can we really be at this spot already? Good thing we cut the best coach in STATE history.
It happened in 2015 not 2005 for the #1 highlight. Probably this or Auburn's missed field goal return is #1 for most soul crushing defeats (Alabama & Wolverqueens) in college football history.
@MSUAndyHRCMB , how about a “fuckit, Jayden Reed’s down there somewhere” compilation in honor of draft week? Some moments that come to mind include 4th & 15 against Penn State, his 2 TDs against Pitt, game winner vs. Wisconsin, and of course, the 4th & 1 conversion against scUM
Michigan fans: "Oh MSU only beats bad Michigan teams. They can't win when Michigan is good." Oh really? If I remember correctly, during the span from 2007-2022, MSU has beaten 8 Michigan teams that were ranked. Some of those teams ended the season with 10+ wins, including Brady Hoke's first season, Harbaugh's first season and of course when Michigan went to the playoffs. Meanwhile, during the same time frame, Michigan had never beaten an MSU team that was ranked and I believe the best team Michigan beat was an MSU team that went 7-6. I rest my case.
#1 is the best in all of NCAA football. The better call is by U of M's Brandstatter - " I don't if heartbreak actually covers that" "I don't know what to say"
He showed up later in the day. All sorts of info about all time records, but can't read that the title is just "Top 50 Spartan Plays of the Modern Era". I'm sure one day they'll post those Top 50 Wolverine Plays and feature Frank Steketee, Willie Heston, and all their players whose grandchildren were too old to play ball in modern era of football.
Congrats on a meaningless win against a struggling MSU team that only has 1 power 5 win all year in 2OT. Even still your worthless team put up 20 less than Ohio state and had to settle for 5 field goals even with our awful defense rofl. Will be funny when you get spanked by OSU like usual this year
@@parkerlindenberg5574 “nowhere to be found” I think you mean your offense and your team in this game recently. Harbaugh now outscores MSU on aggregate by 64 points since he’s been at michigan, you haven’t beaten us by more than 4 points since 2014 so try bringing your team sometime soon. I upload every year for this game, and comment on the highlights check the receipts.
I find it hilarious that Michigan still has the clear winning record in the series since 1978, since u only chose to post highlights since then lolololol.
Don't know what you're proud of. As bd as we are that was an embarrassing won for Michigan. Scored less than Minnesota and Ohio State against us and those were home games for us. Michigan settled for 5 field goals against our awful defense. Enjoy your win on our rebuilding year though because those are the only ones you've gotten over the past 15 years

I’m just looking at all your comments on Michigan state videos you trailer park living sister screwing Walmart wolverine. Good game against TCU and you really tried your best in the NIT.
What about those MSU players assaulting Michigan players in the tunnel last night? Where does that rank hmmm? Average little brother behavior, absolutely shameful.
@@ll_iScuf_ll Pretty sure the clown here is the fan of the team that can’t even string together 6 wins in a season with a coach they’re paying $9.5 million a year 🤡
@@MrParanoiaAgent You might want to check the last season UofM didn't play OSU before you start dropping those kinds of statements. Just sayin'... But hey, it's fun living rent free in your mind. Why you so worried about MSU?
IN FOOTBALL Michigan OWNS MSU and Little Bitty Wee Wee Brother in the series 72-38-5....All Time records 976-352-36 for Michigan and 721-472-44 for Lil Bro hizzle MSWHo AKA The Tunnel Rats....11 National Football Championships for Michigan and a paltry 6 for Moo U All time record in Basketball?.....Michigan leads, 96-87...Want more salt there Spartie? No one gives a shit about ancient history. If it didn't happen in my lifetime, don't care. Not t mention most of those wins were before MSU even joined the big ten
