I remember working at trans shop out of high school, the shop foreman bet me lunch that i couldnt have a 2wd silverado 90-98 body style round tripped in 1 hour. We had trans ready on another transmission jack, and vehicle already set on 2 post lift, i took his bet cause i had R&R transmissions there for 6 years at that time, i did it, with 2 minutes to spare, i remember having the bend the cooler lines out to be able to have the cooler flushing machine hooked up and flushing the cooler while i was still removing and installing thr trans, and then disconnected the flushee from the lines just before having to raise the trans up to put the crossmember back in. I remember orderin a rueben with cheese sticks, a pecan pie and a large coke. He was upset that my lunch cost so much, owell... dont make bets then....
Thank You Richard and Teresa......and Annie. Thanks for all your knowledge and the time to share it with us. Do you have a favorite fluid choice for GM transmissions? I was so happy to find the new channel 😁
Richard...sometime in the future could you elaborate some about the TransGo Jr. kit vs. the larger kit and then some of the shift improvement parts you use from Sonnex vs. TransGo? A little confusion between the kits and other parts to use or not use that come with the kits.
Hardly ever see a Ford transmission that’s dead on this channel or the previous one. Seems like this one just leaks. It must be safe to say Ford transmissions are better. On the other hand, perhaps GM engines are better. Too bad you can’t combine them.
